Even Newcastle have a better manager than us now, alongside Southampton, Leicester, West Ham and arguably Stoke, people wonder why we are bottom half and will be next season if we keep the bloke on. Regardless of what happens in the cup this year he should be sacked come end of the season.

If Moshiri has any business sense he'll realise the league is the bread and butter for bringing in the money and better players. A trophy should compliment a strong league finish not paper over cracks that have been around for a while now.

The margins on a lot of the games we've drawn or lost have been pretty small, so the problem is fixable, it's really just a question of how long Martinez is given to fix it.

On the face if it the problems are well fixable, Wooly.

If Bobby regards them as problems.

And it was the belief that he did indeed regard our defending and "game management" as being problematic and was working to address it which kept me on his side up until last Saturday.

But I honestly don't think he sees what all the fuss is about.

And that is why I abandoned ship, reluctantly, as we walked along Priory Road after the Hammers game.

Like Margaret Thather a long time ago......Bobby is "not fir turning" :(

Which is an absolute shame as I genuinely like him and still hope he has a Damiscine conversion to soccer's more mundane arts....i.e. defending.....and leads us to success long into the future ;)

Come on Bob.....there is still time to make this work.

Agree it gives a view of opinions on here, the problem is though, I imagine there are a lot more members than the number of fans who bothered to vote on that poll, just don't think you can use 'majority' of fans on GOT using that poll.

If you listen to phone ins, look at social media and just talk to match going Everonians, it's clear that a lot of the fan base aren't happy.

Its understandable, we are underperforming, I hope a win today turns things around. We have a lot to be happy for, new investment, new ground new players, keep our best players, this is a monumental moment for us. If things are similar end of season move him on then.

You learn alot in the face of adversity and id much rather have positivity than negativity.

Just imagine if Evertonians all backed the team and manager we wouldnt have the negative press now hanging over the club when in fact we should be in the media for the Moshiri news.

If all Evertonians remained ultra positive and never said a bad word against players or managers or the board then life would be rosy indeed

Ofc we wouldn't have managed to shift Johnson out either, we also would have stuck behind Mike Walker and Walter Smith as we backed them to the hilt as they got us relegated, we'd also be stuck with Tim Howard in goal mate.

Anyone who backs the manager, players and board without question is a happy clapper and the most dangerous thing to the clubs future.

Back the team when the whistle goes 100%, but outside of that its fair game

I expect to see you on here being super positive win lose or draw today then Zatman, anything else would make you look rather silly now after this post, also another thing - is backing the team include wanting to get rid of about 12 players we started with this season?

In. Just. Based solely on the squad he's managed to put together. I think there has to be some belief in him from the players in that they moved here in the first place. I really hope he starts getting results consistently because that is the only thing that is going to change people's opinions. There's a new boss in town who sounds the real deal so Martinez is going to be coming under serious pressure unless he gets things right.

A win today is a necessity.

Phone ins and social media always attract extremes.

It's true that a lot of the fan base aren't happy, but I don't think the situation's anywhere near as polarised as reading this thread might suggest. There are a lot of people with doubts, who aren't firmly entrenched in the In or the Out camps.

People who dont bother do vote dont give a toss who the manager is...so the poll is real...

It's just a poll on an internet forum mate. People who don't vote probably read the entrenched views on here and realise voting one way or the other isn't important.

I suppose by 7.15ish tonight you may think 'this is going to work', or there again you may not.

Big game tonight and you can sense that we love nothing better than a night game at Goodison. Add in a Wembley semi final cup appearance and we owe them one for last month. Add in the snides Fabregas and Terry if he plays. All the ingredients for a hostile and intimidating atmosphere. More of City at Goodison in the Capital One Cup semi final will do nicely.

Thats another way to say you are not arsed who is running the team..

Yeah just a shame 'fan power" didn't get Kendall out in time isn't it. Seriously some of you need to get a grip. Who is this 'we'?
Nobody is suggesting you can't have an opinion. Realistically though everyone should be on the fence or you have closed your eyes to what's happening.
And 'what's happening' is partly influenced by the pressure put on players and managers. From my part if they look like they are out there as desperate to win as we are then for that 90 mins they are world beaters.
My opinion later might be very different. I want the pressure on Chelsea not an Everton player I'm not sure about.
Don't know where this naive attitude came from. Maybe it's the idea we can all be wrong. Or maybe it's the practical thing about not actually being the manager and my view counting for no more or less than someone whose just turned up to support them.

Im always positive :)

But when it comes to players not of top quality or who shouldnt be in the side e g Kone i can give them some slack....however i really detest howard due to his media comments and actions + Gibson of course...i think im quite consistent with that?

It martinez had ditched howard sooner who knows if robles was ready or what would have happened?

At the moment i feel he needs to shift all the out of contract players in the summer and the moyes old guard (keep jags baines and the obvious) and ditch his short term stop gap signings....

If he does that and adds 3 or 4 of his own men then i think we will see what he is made of....so another season....unless all goes to pot by xmas then...

Yet you critique people doing the exact same thing in regards to not thinking Martinez is not up to job?

I fear for this team when we finally ship off the last of the Moyes players - at that point we will be truly left with players who have had no influence from a manager who knew how to defend, scary thoughts mate
