If I jump ship, it will only be to steal your cargo and women at swordpoint. Martinez is a phenomenal manager and this long and terrible conflict is nearing its end. Just know that when we win the FA Cup, there will be a place at Captain Davek's side for a man of your skill.

I think he'll get sacked even if he wins the Cup.

Sniff it Prev you Lukaku denier

Is this fume still going on?

Lol.

Mid table and a proper assault on two domestic cups; silverware within touching distance.

Throw open a window lads. The real world is out there. Honest.

nil satis nisi optimum

Still doing a U-Turn on Kenwright now that he supports your man Roberto Dave?

Or just selectively choosing what you like about Kenwright now

and I thought David M. was the worst cheerleader for the proclamations of Billy Liar.

Turns out it was David K.! Who would have foreseen this sad decline of standards

Say if he cannot win the cup so you think 21 wins in 67 in PL is ok and as a kind of progress?

Of course as a fan I want the club to win trophies but the league got to be the priority right?

...took WIGAN down, didn't feel he was the man to bring them up?!?!?!?

Yet cites he was 'building' things and laying foundations. (Whaaaaaaaa.....?)

Yep, for abject mediocrity tinged with that little bit of luck.

#RepeatToFade

Wigan, as a town, had absolutely no interest in a game played with a round ball. Their wages and funding were cut drastically but he left them with some parting gift. I can see, even now, that if we win the FA Cup, the Plotters will put it down to good luck. Amazing to think that will be the case but conceding a two miles offside goal in a magical extra minute would be just bad management. The hatred of Martinez is personal for some now, not based on logic.

The war is over and sadly Everton lost.

We have a manager that gets out foxed by Tony Pulis, a Manager that doesnt know how to hold a lead, motivate the players and fails at every aspect of managing a Premiership team.

Hes an utter fraud, its quite clear the players have stopped playing for him, yesterdays "performance" was a watershed, no fight and no desire, I can take defeat, when its hard fought, but yesterday we rolled over and let Arsenal tickle our belly, at home, at home we were losing 2-0 and instead of going for it the 2nd half he shut up shop for 45minutes.

We have the worst home record in Europe, its almost like the players are doing everything they can to highlight how much they want him gone.

He very well might fluke the cup this season, that will be down to the players actually giving 1 and wanting to win something for themselves, in the league they have given up, the stale tactics, the constant defeats and the subs that would make Ian Halloway wince, we took a major gamble on a failure of a man and hes done what he does, fails.

So I no longer need to wait until the end of the season, ive seen enough, he MUST be sacked, the very second we exit the FA Cup, if thats in May with Jags holding up the trophy then so be it.

This is clearly me resigning from The Cult, I wont be returning, im 100% Plotter from now on.

We have the best striker in Europe and we sit in 12th place cos the manager has the tactical nous of a cabbage, a cabbage thats been left in the sun for 3 days.

SACK, SACK, SACK

Kenwright: Smith is still our man

Bill Kenwright has given his full backing to Walter Smith's troubled Goodison Park reign and assured the Everton manager that his job is safe. Mounting speculation that Smith would either quit in despair or be fired after becoming embroiled in a prolonged struggle for Premiership survival was dismissed out of hand by Kenwright after the 2-2 home draw with Sunderland.

The Everton owner broke his silence over suggestions that he was contemplating a change, with Preston's David Moyes supposedly in line to take over, and said: 'I am meant to be announcing Walter's departure, if you believe all you hear, but nothing could be further from the truth. I want to make it clear that Walter is very much the man for the job here and will still be in charge next season. I know there are a few dissenting voices among our fans, but you have to acknowledge that our injury problems this season have been without parallel.' Kenwright added: 'Walter and I speak the same language. We both know the score on finance. If I had £150million, believe me, it would be in Everton's bank account. But I haven't and we have to operate in the real world. It is easy to knock the manager, but just look at the problems he has had this season. Throughout it all, Walter has stood there to be counted. He has been honest and faced his responsibilities and I have never had any doubts that he is the right man for us.' There could be a reprieve for Paul Gascoigne who looked certain to be on his way out, with 12 months left on his agreement, after allowing his fitness to suffer during a six-month injury absence. Kenwright said: 'The final decision will rest with Walter and will be influenced by fitness levels, but it is my hope that Paul will be with us next season.' Kevin Phillips twice struck fine equalisers to force Sunderland back into the game after Idan Tal and Michael Ball, with a penalty, had put Everton ahead.

In a match of nine bookings, Sunderland had Don Hutchison sent off after bringing down Dave Unsworth for a penalty which the defender saw well saved by Thomas Sorensen.

lol lol lol

I love you, Dave.

It is like Hitler sat in the bunker in Berlin, sending messages to General Von Paulus in Stalingrad, telling him to fight to the last man.

Don't ever change, pal.....;)

I'm utterly amazed people think that a loss to Arsenal after reaching Wembley last week means a solitary thing.

There's some level of cluelessness out there if there's a belief Martinez isn't anything other than certain to start off next season as Everton manager. He's safe now, imo. But even those who doubt that will have to acknowledge it if we get to the cup final.

Honestly, heads need wobbling here.

This is why it is important he is fired before even the semi final.

The closer we get to winning the cup, or actually winning it, the more difficult it becomes to fire him.

And if he is fired anyway, which I suspect he will be, the new man will taking over what is perceived to be a successful club and the bar of expectation is raised for him.....see wee Davey taking over at the league champions.

We need tha fanbase united right now.

But at the moment there is a division.

On the one hand there are those of us who would give a kidney to see Jags hoist the trophy aloft in May no matter what.

Then there are other chaps who opine, with some justification it must be said, the a Cup win could we'll be a Pyrrhic victory in that it buys Bobby more time to bring us down the table next season with his failed philosophyball.

Bin Bobby now......and every last one of us is four square with a caretaker manager (big Joe ?) as we focus on winning the Cup.

Then move heaven and earth to fetch in a top coach in the summer.

Sorry mate, I can't agree with that. I think the disruption caused by sacking him before the semi lessens our chances of progressing and ultimately winning the competition.

For me, he stays till the season's over, and then the position's reviewed. If we win the cup, but a better manager is identified who's available and willing to take the job on under whatever remit he's given, then there's no reason why we can't go our seperate ways.

Granted, he'd probably get a stay of execution, but we're in no position to do anything which lessens our chance of a trophy.

Of course as a fan I want the club to win trophies but the league got to be the priority right?

No. My position in that respect has always been the same since I began supporting Everton. I consider a trophy far more important than a league placing and always will. In my mind, an FA Cup victory would make for the most successful campaign Everton have had in 21 years, and I would be forever grateful to the man and players responsible for it.
