That's the thing though, an FA Cup win should not be guaranteeing him next season. He has proven to be completely inept in the league.

Getting in the top four won't save Van Gaal

Winning the League and League Cup didn't save Jose

Winning the League Cup didn't save Pellegrini

Surviving relegation didn't save Nigel Pearson

The majority of Arsenal fans feel that Wenger's time is up.

Welcome to modern day football. There is no room for sentiment here. We all want to win the FA Cup, the majority of us want the manager sacked. It isn't a case of choosing one or the other.

Please don't compare Martinez to Mourinho and Van Gaal mate.

Talksport there on Everton.

General summary: "why are they so inconsistent? Good one week and all at sea the next. They play some great foitball at times. What's happening with the back four and GK though that's wasting Lukaku's goal tally? Martinez will be given the money in the summer to fix that."

I pass that on not because I have any regard for that divvy station, but in order to underline that no one is arsed about our in and out PL form outside the fanbase. There's just no heat in the situation. In the run up to the cup game versus Chelsea there was media speculation....probably to get interest in the tie up...in the mangerisl situation here. When that game was won they lost interest and there's no media mob anymore.

Long story short: there is a MASSIVE DISCONNECT between the preoccupations of fans and the industry on Martinez and his performance and prospects. Like it or not, that is the culture that informs momentous decision making. Yes there'll be the odd arl arse like Merson or Barton opening their grids, but there's no impetus for a change of manager at Everton. Not as far as I see in any case. Maybe Moshiri is lining someone up as we speak. You never can tell. But in all likelihood the attitude at Everton will be: "people seem to think he's ok and we play decent footy under him...and we're off to Wembley, so let's just crack on".

IMO.

You see mate, imo you're seeing it all wrong.

He will change things. Drastically. Because he now has what he had in short supply since he joined. Cash. More importantly, cash without sales.

You're acting like the model hasn't changed. Didnt you hear? We now have a billionaire owner. Raw youth isn't on the agenda anymore. We can attract proven quality.

Last time Martinez had proven quality in their prime we finished 5th.

That would be the same proven quality in their prime who are for the majority all still in the first team and in their prime but according to Bobby haven't learned how to win.

And the raw youth, are these the young players who all played large parts that "record breaking" season but despite being consistently in the first team for the last 2 years are now suddenly inexperienced.

Robles? Galloway? Funes Mori? Besic? Stones? There just a few off the top of my head.

And on the prime players, surely you can concede that Howard and Distin for just two, had a fantastic season under Martinez?

The echo chamber has has exploded and turned into a concert hall for the majority of Evertonians. On the Martinez issue.

I thought this would.be dragged out over another two seasons or so but people have woke up. If he continues this crap he might only get next season.
