Remember when 8th was seen as a bad season?

Can't believe I'm actually remembering moyes fondly these days.

If you're Moshiri and you're considering giving £100m to a manager to spend you'll want to be confident in his ability to use it well. In general, RM has been good in the transfer market but he should be performing better in the league than he has been.

If I was about to 'invest' money in the team I'd want to be confident I'll see an improvement in our results. Could anyone say, presently, that they're confident we will see improved results next season if RM is given a substantial amount to spend?

I imagine most people would be concerned at best. I'm pretty sure Moshiri and BK will be concerned over our form. They won't show it in public as it's counter productive but they'd be stupid not to be concerned, wether they decide to stick with RM or not.

With Moyes currently available they'd have a ready made replacement, who's also good in the transfer market and we know would tighten up our defence. BK is a big fan of his despite how some fans feel about him after the Utd fiasco.

That's not to say if they got rid of him they would go for Moyes but it's not beyond contention that it might happen.

That was quite sensible until the word Moyes appeared....stopped reading after that.

After winning 6 games out of 8 you'd think the players would be up for a match like Arsenal at home.

Funny thing is, if we don't win the cup this year, what can you genuinely take as a positive from this season?

I mean you can't even talk about the way we play because it doesn't win many games.

No mate, I'm giving you the general temperature of the industry and where this forum fever fits into it. It's nothing. It doesn't register. They see a team doing ok one week, not very good the next. They comment on inconsistency and a team which should be doing better. They compliment the club on the football played. They DONT scream out that there';s a crisis or need for change at the top. They wonder what Martinez can do with extra money from Moshiri.

Again, I have to apologise for posting inconvenient truths...and they ^^^ most certainly ARE inconvenient truths.

if you were Moshiri would you give him a considerable amount of money to spend based on the continual rubbish he has served up so far?, it doesn't matter what the media think, its us the people who go who aren't happy and social media is one of the ways to vent that unhappiness, it's time for him to go, everyone knows it, and we wont win the semi final because Van Gaal and Bilic are too good for him.

Now at 491 to 1013.

So, since the post I'm quoting, that's a net change of

In : 17 ( 8.2% )
Out : 190 ( 91.8% )

This probably knocks the idea of resetting the poll changing the results in the favour of the manager.

Dave we could be sat 4th from bottom out of all cups for three years running and no one in the media would care about the manager - that doesn't mean us as a fan base shouldn't either, it also doesn't mean a man who just put 100m into the club won't care that we are badly underperforming for the second straight season running

That's just not true. It'd be a huge industry issue. And you know it.

Well conceivably that could be the case, yes.

But if you work on what you learned from the hierarchy last week, and you take the not unrealistic view that the current chairman is still making decisions, then you would have to conclude that Martinez will still be here. By the way, there's also a HUGE supposition here that Moshiri does not back Martinez....and the burden of offering evidence for that is with you....
