Posting the worst possible case scenario after our next game and having a dig at the manager about it before it's even happened, while ignoring the fact we have 1\2 games in hand on most teams because it doesn't suit your agenda, yet you say he's pessimistic? lol

I think you are missing the point.

The fact that there is a very realistic chance of dropping to 15th place is already unacceptable to the majority of fans posting in this thread, based on the talent at his disposal.

Your position is based on hope and optimism rather than the harsh reality of our current level.

Actually I buckle very easily when presented with common sense. And some people on here are very capable of that. Calling people naive isn't really doing that. As I said it doesn't offend me. It's just not effective. Neither is a group of people poking fun at other fans for a scenario that hasn't even happened.
Anyway this isn't very useful for either of us. Shall we agree to ignore each other?

A lame reply as expected really. You are a blow hard and try to force your opinion on others. When this strategy fails and fails spectaculary, may I add, you resort to trying to implement damage control by offering a meek response, concluding in a peace offering of `ignoring` one another to try to maintain some sort of online credibility.

Nice try but another fail.

In football terms you are desperatly hoping for the final whistle

Taking your points in turn;

You do not know me and have formed an opinion of me based on the fact that I do not agree with your points of view
My points of view irritate you as you disagree with them, may I suggest you look up the definition of internet forum as
it may help you.

Stating that those who want Martinez `in` are naive is my opinion and one that I am entitled to and stand by given the facts of his time in charge, and our current league position. Some agree, some do not that is the nature of debate something that appears to be lost on you. To clarify I believe people who want Martinez in our indeed naive this is my opinion as he seems unable to turn this around.

Please stop trying to soften my approach by substituting my written words to ones of your own choice, you have been found out,
it does not work with me .... give up

You state that you are not offended by the word niave, I dissagree as you raise it almost every posting in reply to me, so admit it you are indeed offended, and would like me to use another word .... one of you`re choice ... sounds familiar .. see the pattern forming here ?

Effective to what? What am I trying to effect? I accept there are those like you who want martinez in, however you struggle to accept some want martinez out, and try desperatly at every opportunity to literally put words in others mouths to soften any written criticism that sits uncomfortably with yourself.

Poking fun at other fans to the best of my knowledge has not happened, debate has. The reality of sitting 12th in the league may well happen therefore why cant we discuss this just because it does not suit you? (see opening sentence)

I think the `in` supporters are naive others may agree, others may not but I dont intend to keep repeating what I have said as it is quite obvious you only listen to what you want to, and try to `beat `into submission any opposing views to your own.

Epic fail

He totally changed Barca style of play.
He moved on most of their squad in 1st two seasons
He stated he would rather win 5-4 than 1-0
He was slated by fans in first 2-3 seasons at Barca
Chairman vetoed board decision to fire him
Changed youth setup (la masia)..

Alot of similatities and won copa del rey then barca were amazing the following seasons...

I think you're kind of missing the major point that Cruyff was a World Class, beloved player of Barcelona. He was their World Record signing in 1973, helped them win the Title in his first season, their first in 14 years, and was European Footballer of the Year. His son even had a Catalan name. Martinez fundamentals are all over the shop. Any parallels between El Fraudo and El Flaco couldn't be more Stark than if they were flying around in shiny red suit.

I do hope so though. Embarking on winning four titles in as row by his 3rd seas... oh...

Its simple really..

Do you trust Bobby to spend this alleged money in the summer?

Im just a little bit scared..
I think I would trust him to spend wisely, it's the lack of defensive coaching that worries me more.
He inherited a decent defence and has since blooded Stones, Galloway, Browning and added RFM who have all done well individually and yet the collective performances of the whole 8-man unit including Jags, Seamus, Baines and Oviedo vary from acceptable to nothing short of dire.

And despite Joel doing well, we most definitely need a genuine Number One goalie to bedrock the back four.

So his first priority in the transfer market after appeasing all those we don't want to lose is the goalie... any additions to strengthen the squad would be a bonus.

You may not have all the facts to hand.

I was asking a question if we were to lose our next game would we be 15th, a poster very kindly replied saying
it was a possibility. The forum and thread are here for open discussion both positive and negative do you have a problem
with that? if so spend more time on your playstation.

Yes I am in the martinez out camp and have been since last season, no dig at anyone just another fact that you are obviously
uncomfortable with .

Pessimistic is a term old blue used to describe how his employers refered to him, i simply used the term in a reply and in agreement
with his employers assessment of him after reading his posts.

Have a nice easter

Giving the guy till the end of this season is more than fair. Anyone who actively wants him to have the whole of next season too is either living in a dream world where evidence is ignored, or just absolutely loves punishment.

Agreed. There's some semblance of masochistic tendencies about those who wish for more of the same...Because that's all we'd be getting.

...out of order that BLOCKS....surely the vast experience & acumen that the remarkably tall DENNIS LAWRENCE garnered at Crewe Alexandra and San Juan Jabloteh is proving invaluable to us?

Oh.

;)

That's the most expansive ignoring I've ever had

Cruyff was a loved former player but they still wanted him out...

For Martinez yes its taken him a year longer in different times when almost a full team still needs to be jettissoned aftet that he will over overhauled an entire squad in 3 years. Pretty incredible.
