Of course they are partly to blame, but things do ultimately come back to the manager. I do wish there were a more balanced way of viewing it among the masses, but sadly that simply isn't the case with us underperforming on the pitch. I have also sadly admitted that I think the only way forward now is to change the manager. The situation has gotten so toxic, we need to move on IMO.

'Berto gets plenty of praise when his tactics are spot on. Which he is capable of. When, in the first season, every sub seemed to bring a positive result. When he played a Lukaku and Barkley in positions on the pitch they weren't that effective- and they've been vastly better this season.

At this stage, just what have we got to lose by backing the team and the manager?

Sure, if we go out in the semi final, maybe he will be kicked. Maybe they'll wait to the summer. We don't know, What we do know is we've got a game coming up, with a trophy at stake. He ain't gonna get sacked before it.

Both sides have presented their argument to varying degrees of success. Minds aren't going to be changed now. I applaud this site for taking the poll down and changing the thread. I think it was the right decision. Aren't we all just going in circles now, is it productive? As entertaining as it is, it's divisive. Time in my opinion to all stand together. Which I'm sure we all will do come the semi final anyway.

Personally I can't wait. Hope it's West Ham, we owe them. Even if it's United for all Martinez's faults we've got the beating of them. I'm a miserable fecker most of the time but it's time for a wee bit of optimism. Glass at 50% lads, time for a top up.

Playing the "Barca / Martinez" way...

Who in the squad would you be happy with going into next season with 2 players for each position and adding the 3 you mention for a top 6 finish...

I reckon we need 4 players bare minimum and even then still need another couple the following year.

If we are going to play the Barca way, Then you are comparing Rom to Messi, Suarez or Neymar then ?

Not really...that first season is being credited (ridiculouly IMO) to Moyes.

I think the players get off way too easy for their individual mistakes/performances with the masses. Unless they are already a perceived scapegoat (Osman, Howard, Kone, ETC).
