Id say a forum is more vocal and likely to think that way and will be more polar in their view than a large majority of the regular match goers. Of course lots of us on here are both, but there is a huge amount of match goers who aren't represented on the web forums.
The interesting thing is, out of the usual 20 ish people I know and attend home and away matches with, literally all of them now want Martinez to be replaced. These are a mix of male, female, young, old, and from all different parts of the country, and now I know of no-one in my match going group who wants him to stay.

Some were raising doubts towards the end of last season, I myself ran out of patience after the home Stoke game over Xmas, one of Martinez' staunchest supporters out of the group was officially 'out' after the Man City cup exit, and the last person to give up on him was after the Arsenal game.

Everyone has their own limits as to what they find acceptable, some are more patient than others, but I wouldn't say anyone out of my group has 'knee jerked' or acted like 'Veruca Salt'. To suggest so is simply not true. This has been a slow and steady decline of performances and results over the last 18 or so months, and baring a couple of good cup runs our performances haven't been up to standard.

Will we be there at Wembley desperate for a win and cheering on the team as much as possible? Definitely. Does this mean we want Martinez to stay? No. If we saw any sign of progress I personally would give him more time, but I just can't see it.

If for example his 3 seasons had been in reverse, and this season was his first, followed by his second, with his '72 point' season his third, then brilliant. The results and finishes would have been exactly the same in total, BUT it would indicate progress. We are simply going backwards though.

This team and squad (which much to his credit Martinez has mainly built) is capable of so, so, so much more. I don't think Martinez, or his tactics, is the man to get it out of them.

Must be great to have your mindset. Ignore anything that anyone else says that is correct and think you're constantly right regardless.
I'm just gauging the way the dissenters free two week run at disseminating their propaganda has gone. It's been a hopeless creation of an echo chamber for the already converted and had zero effect on anything substantial.

In short: a storm in a tea cup that's blown itself out.

Here's what's been going on beyond forum fumeageddon: Roberto is in place, his chairman has his back and is working with him to identify targets for the summer with the reported transfer war chest. We're Wembley bound and within touching distance of landing silverware for the first time in 21 years.

That is the weight of the situation.

"60 points and good cup runs". That is a certain individuals yardstick. We are almost certainly not going to hit both. So is this season a failure in their mind? I will guess: no. Because they would probably define "and" as meaning "you misrepresented my statement, 'and' in this case is supposed to mean 'or'."

Because it's easier to move goalposts than to admit you are wrong.

Roberto Martinez ate my Hamster.

I think we've exposed this lot for the busted flush they are mate. Not long now before they're piped down altogether and back in their cave scratching their thoughts on the walls with their sharpened finger nails.

This lot are done, stick a fork in them.
....lol...more furious stamping of feet from our resident Rumpelstiltskin

I'm sure Moshiri will ask one of his trusted analysts to work out the stats on Bobby across his tenure at Everton. Use the info to compare with other managers and he'll come to the conclusion that he's massively underperforming.

I can't see him handing over 100-150m to a bloke who's consistently underperforming. Hopefully theyre in discussions with someone decent and are waiting for the season to come to an end. A decent cup run in the FA is a bonus.

Ronaldo left Utd.
Suarez left the Sh1te.
Torres left the Sh1te.
Lewandowski left Dortmund?
Zlatan leaves everywhere.

Top players leave every club.....probably with Barca being an exception. It's why they have very rich agents and little to no loyalty. The sooner some people realise footballers are transient and have no real bond with their employers the better.

Lukaku will leave Everton. It doesn't make financial sense for him and his agent not to move every 2-3 years. Ditto every top player.

Which part of that is difficult to understand, and which part of it does Martinez or any other manager for that matter have any control over?
It doesnt make sense to work for the manager who doesnt deliver...

Actually screenshotted it as well, just in case it's lost at some point:

I should post this every so often, for the funsies.

Whoever that guy is, he sounds unbearable.

Interesting view.

Here is a different spin on it:

The 'Out' votes have increased at a rate higher than then 'In'. Nothing has been done as we're so close to the end of the season that it would be a rare occurrence to sack a manager now.

The a Chairman (A man you've spent years claiming is clueless and should go) isn't the man in charge, he isn't the decision maker. You're also basing this off one article Phil Kirkbride did for the Echo. You're using this story as it suits your agenda. There has been numerous articles by pundits and journalists alike blaming Martinez for our failures. Of course, these are all just 'hacks' who don't know what they're talking about, right?

You've made no case for keeping the manager. You're like a broken record with more people coming here for the Davek Show rather than give thought to anything you say.
