to be fair he still has chance to turn this season into a decent looking one. Win the FA cup and finish 5th, still very much possible.

Won't happen and he should be sacked at the end of it, but still at all possible. I mean would you take 7th and the fa cup at the start of the season? I know i would have, but clearly we aren't finishing there or anywhere near it so it is just a case of waiting for the seasons end to say our farewell
It's pretty tight in this part of the table though. What if that clearly offside Chelsea goal in time added on to time added on means the difference between 7th and 10th. Would this mean you want him sacked? Ups and downs in terms of luck obviously, although I'd argue our bad luck this season hasn't balanced out. But we haven't had a decision go for us that was that clearly wrong so let's say that genuinely cost us those places what would you think in terms of sacking him?

Mate, if we won the FA Cup and finish 11th, it'd be a decent season.

The point is is that this squad/manager should not having to be relying on winning a cup to make it a good season.

as a one off yes, but consecutively? League form should be held accountable. One by one our players will leave us, Rom leaving already, Stones may jump at another chance of champions league (if someone else flashes an interest), there is two of the spine possibly gone. Remove the spine and next season could well follow the same suit, rich or not. League form shoudl come first, it is a bit silly to think otherwise, no player who would improve us wants to sign for a mid table club.

Tbh mate if we win the cup it extends him as Everton manager. Now I want to win the Cup but I don't want him as manager and we aren't gettin 5th talk about can't have your cake and eat it!

I have said it before, that is the bitter sweet of the cup, almost makes us want to go out (but not quite lol). winning the cup knowing full well the manager will have another attempt at running the team into the ground is going to be ridiculous, i have zero faith in him personally, and chances are a lot of my criticisms that were written off 12 months ago are probably still accurate a year on. Tempted to just copy and paste responses ready for next year.

We have decisions go for us; anyway its irrelevant because the overall performance of the team and the management as been absolutely horrid and any manager should be dragged over the coals for that.

I hate the argument over decisions, the Chelsea one for example; it should never have gotten to that. We had command of the game and threw it away.

Interesting view.

Here is a different spin on it:

The 'Out' votes have increased at a rate higher than then 'In'. Nothing has been done as we're so close to the end of the season that it would be a rare occurrence to sack a manager now.

The a Chairman (A man you've spent years claiming is clueless and should go) isn't the man in charge, he isn't the decision maker. You're also basing this off one article Phil Kirkbride did for the Echo. You're using this story as it suits your agenda. There has been numerous articles by pundits and journalists alike blaming Martinez for our failures. Of course, these are all just 'hacks' who don't know what they're talking about, right?

You've made no case for keeping the manager. You're like a broken record with more people coming here for the Davek Show rather than give thought to anything you say.

Toe curling.

It's been a futile two week rant from the usual suspects on here. In reality our club preoccupies itself day to day with matters quite unrelated to any fanciful notions of managerial change. Never mind though: 'the out votes on here have increased at a higher rate'.

*sigh*

Personally i am not arsed about points, its about position for me. 7th for example in my eyes is a fine position simply because that is generally where we finished for a long time so that doesn't concern me. What does concern me is that only 2 of our league wins have come from a team not in the bottom 3 at the time of playing, which doesn't fill me with confidence that we will suddenly learn how to win games.

It is when you are lower than you should be that the positions hit home, west brom should not be above us, swansea were bottom three not long ago, in fact lose on sunday and the league positional wise could look even worse, 15th for example. A team with a striker on 26 goals should not be 12-15th in the league, serious questions need to be asked about that.

Rom hasn't left yet.

We'll see what the summer brings. If he does go we'll get a huge sum.

If we had finished 5th this season, I still think Rom would be looking for a move - though admittedly it would be easier to maybe convince him not to.

As always though, it's this mentality (not just with you in particular) of looking to blame one entity.

The fact remains is that isn't the case.

As poor as Martinez has been at times (and he has been, especially in the home games anyway), the players also must shoulder blame - and we've had awful luck in decisions that haven't gone our way that have clearly changed results.

My current stance on RM is that I'm swaying towards OUT. But I don't see anything changing between now and the end of the season.

Come May, we may well have won the FA Cup and have finished top 8.

We may not have done. Only time will tell.

Nothing else is even worth counting, not even the 72 points you seem to fap off over daily for some bizarre reason.

Rant, rant, rant, rant and rant....Lose the semi and a few more league games and the guy won't be here in the summer if Moshri has anything about him. How many wins in how many games is it again? Not even up to Tony Pulis standards dear friend.

:coffee:

...but you dont want that, do you......?

I know what you mean I kinda don't wanna the cup so he's sacked but I wanna win the cup because it's been so long....ah! Tbh his first season I thought oh Yearh he's decent then as he's made the team into his own I'm like er..... We're poo

Of course not, why would I possibly want that?

I want us to win the FA cup, finish as high as possible and the club to progress.

However, I feel under this man this is not going to be possible as his tactics, results and performance absolutely sucks! A point you seem to be missing in your blind rage against the people who can see this.
