2nd season teams pressed the full backs...

Hes played Deulofeu to change from attacking via full backs to wingers....however has no left winger and no defensive quality at full back.

Needs to change the players.
If your manager can't adapt to a change in tactics for 2 years I think you'll find it's the manager that needs changing.

Lost me a bit here...

Year one....fine.
Year two...Full back issues on both sides
Year three...Brings in 2 Right wingers
Year four...Signs left wingers and changes full backs.

Year one we introduced a new system which didn't get worked out until the Palace game. Since then it's been the same.
We have defenders who can defend, they just can't seem to defend well in this system. We say it's a player issue so why get players to play a system they can't play whilst he waits to recruit others. He is not playing to the strengths of the players we have now. It's like say you want a caravan but only have a motorbike to pull it, you buy the caravan anyway and try to pull it with the motorbike until you can afford a car. It ridiculous as you have bought the caravan and car the wrong way round. It's exactly the same with the players, he forces a new system on the team before he has the players that can play the system.

It's pretty straightforward- you're claiming that our defensive problems are the result of players who can't deal with changes in tactics from opposition teams. I'm arguing that a failure to deal with this is down to the manager.

It's tactics, we are open all over the pitch and his style has been figured out a long time ago, especially at goodison.

Change has many players as you want, it's not working.

Square pegs round holes n'all that like

You shouldn't be building a team around players unlikely to be anywhere near their peak a couple years down the line. And professional footballers ought to be able to adjust to some changes. If it's totally out of their skill set then they'd suffer but I don't think we've ever played a system that doesn't require them to mark, track back, pass the ball simply and organise themselves positionally with their team mates.
I think he's definitely more of a fundamentalist than a pragmatist but this really doesn't excuse players not doing basic parts of their job. That's all on them.

He hasn't changed from attacking via full back

Baines Oviedo Coleman are regularly bombing forward

And isn't that why he brought Lennon and Cleverley in.
Do people want him to get shut of Moyes back four?
I mentioned this the other day, I would rather see the full backs defending more and play geri and mirralas. Who will get more goals and assists than
Baines and Coleman will ever do.

But he's obsessed with the full back being wingers and scarifices flair high up the pitch. Most teams full backs rotate going forward, so if Coleman went forward baines would stay. Just changing to this tactic alone would improve is imo. As we would have 3 back all the time and Barry infront.

I know it's hyperthetical, but would we be any worse off this season if browning(I know he got injured) and Galloway playing full backs all season with jags and stones
Barkley alongside McCarthy/Barry
Lennon mirralas outwide and geri in the 10 role with Rom upfront.

I agree about the full backs but the team has been set up for seasons with them as the main outlet. I suggested a few seasons ago that we may have seen the best of both and was piped down pretty quickly. I think he is looking at alternatives but it'll be a brave decision. And I think we've got to be sure Del is ready to deliver most weeks.
