What's apparently obvious is that we're 12th in the table and he took Wigan to the Championship.
League form is irrelevant mate. I'm sure the Wigan fans will agree.

And yet both Swansea and Wigan were desperate to keep him. And Liverpool desperate to get hold of him. That's a lot of people who didn't see what's apparently obvious
I'm not going back to look at it but unless I misread the post said something about this going on for ten years. And whatever went on before he got here it clearly wasn't viewed as a huge problem to most observers within the game. In fact when we employed him I remember feeling I was being cynical for having doubts such was the positive repRespectfully mate, what's been rewritten? One simply cannot rewrite what is factual...
Mate?
Well there we go. That's not actually what happened but let us rewrite for the agenda. So desperate to get hold of him that they rejected him for a narcissitic

Or Wigan had gone as far as they could. To be honest their time at the top was a miracle almost on a par with Leicester this year, and anyone involved in keeping them competitive for any period deserves some credit. It just didn't give me much sense of Martinez one way or another...I know mate, amazing really, all the pozzy about a manager who'd just relegated a team yet felt he wasn't the man to bring them back up?!?!?!?
Maybe our FABRIC simply states that we ARE just a club happy to go on the odd little cup run after all, perhaps that was the basis for his employ...
Steve Bruce and Paul Jewell must be amongst the best managers of all time if they got Wigan to finish 11th.Or Wigan had gone as far as they could. FFS this thread is out of control and should be closed until the season is finished and judge him them. It's not impossible that were in top 7 and won the FA cup which and be honest would you have not taken that in August? Clear errors at Home are agreed but don't judge until the last ball is kicked - it just might be a Lakaku winner in May and 21 years is finally over....I know mate, amazing really, all the pozzy about a manager who'd just relegated a team yet felt he wasn't the man to bring them back up?!?!?!?

Think they rejected him over wanting total control of the footballing side of the club.So desperate to get hold of him that they rejected him for a narcissitic
But it still doesn't mask where we are now. The league table at any time in the season is a good measure to how you've done.FFS this thread is out of control and should be closed until the season is finished and judge him them. It would be very hard to justify sacking him if we won the Cup to be honest
You never know though, both the Club and Martinez might see it as an opportunity to part on good terms
Martinez gets another FA Cup on his CV and can get another job elsewhere, and the club can wish him well and start looking at a replacement
If Liverpool truly had wanted him they'd have got him.And yet both Swansea and Wigan were desperate to keep him. And Liverpool desperate to get hold of him. That's a lot of people who didn't see what's apparently obvious
