It's not rocket science:

Goalkeeper that breeds confidence in the defence
Defence therefore more assured and less likely to panic
McCarthy back doing the Reid/Carsley non-sexy solid midfield work
Forwards more confident and taking the chances they get

All of the above are a credit to the manager (albeit he can't decide when a player is injured or not)

Delighted with today's result and still backing Roberto but he has to see that in the English PL all successful sides are rooted in a solid goalkeeper and defence. Once these are in place, the artists can perform.
