Roberto Martinez discussion

It was the same old, same old yesterday. He was completely outdone by Van Gahl. He remarked in his interviews how he knew Martinez was going to set his team out and going to play, it was as easy as that and they made it look it.
The saddest thing is it's becoming the norm now and some fans are apathetic, hence the half empty stadium at the end and the 'hey-ho'..'lets move on' attitude of some posters on here.

Sound. What do you propose we do about all this mate? I don't wanna be apathetic.

Wanna organise a march or a plane? I'll bring the pi55 stained bed sheets.

It's that easy to play against us only two sides have beaten us, both sides will be in the top 4

Get in the bin mate

Woah, someone needs to get that knee looked at. Jerking all over the place. We lost to a team that will be in the Top 3 come end of the season. Played badly, but that happens.

Arsenal game is already a write off, for us to stay in that Europa League mix then Sunderland is already looking like a must win.

It's the first game we've had for a while that looks like a 3 point banker, we need to set the tone for the rest of the season in those games. Dropped far too many points to dross last time around.

Miracles do happen but we're playing against a top 4 team away from home...

If you are going to get something from these games you really need your goalkeeper to be on top form and we've got Howard.
I doubt we'll get a result too. Maybe a draw if the defence is switched on.

I think our next win is coming against Norwich in the LC. If we get past them we are going all the way to the final, imo. This looks like one we're destined to do well in this season, and what a fitting tribute to HK if we could finally land it.

Is that you Moyes? Remember when we used to slam Everton managers for not beating top 4 sides away from home. For some reason though despite the top 4 getting weaker and is getting better players it now seems to be acceptable just to expect defeat and a draw at best next week. All Everton managers should be judged by the same standards.

Not sure what point you're making. Are you saying that everybody who is behind Martinez was anti-Moyes. If you are, then you're wrong.

Also, why the hell do you keep banging on about Moyes?

You're missing the point. I'm saying we'll struggle to get a win, not advocating we dont look for the win. Martinez will go out looking for it; whereas Moyes would play for the draw.

I'm not saying that so I'm not sure why you've said that? Let's take the manager out of it then of people can't stomach any mention of him. 4 years ago our current and recent levels of performance were deemed by the majority as not good enough. Excuses that were put forward such as the difference in spend were widely rejected. We now have better players yet the same level of performance is apparently ok because the top 4 are putting out expensive sides? All Everton sides should be judged to the same standard. We are underperforming considering the talent we have.

That's an opinion, the results don't back it up. We've played poorly at Anfield WHL Stamford Bridge, the Etihad and the Emirates under Martinez. If he's looking to win he's not doing a very good job of it. I couldn't give a stuff about the perceived approach to the game if the outcome remains the same. Did we look to win the game yesterday? No. We got battered.

Rewriting history there. the Moyes out brigade was always the minority.
