Hibbo? I cannot believe that RM would contemplate selecting him, unbelievable. Should be pensioned off along with Gibson, Osman and Pienaar.
I wouldn't mind seeing any of those including Hibbo in a League Cup match.

I thought we have finished 4th,5th an 6th on more than one occasion my mistake.Finishing in mid-table positions in almost every season for the last 20 years is how we have become a mid-table club. The fact that you wont accept this shows that your perspective is being affected by blue tinted glasses, as is your opinion on McCarthy. Please let me know when your prediction of mid-table clubs gatecrashing the top four actually comes true, I think I'll be waiting a long time.

You say we are a mid table club and we have gatecrashed the top 4 so i don't get your post at all.
One piece of advice dude don't get loaded before posting
I agree over the injuries if you look across the whole squad, but that would be blinkered outlook.
When you lose 3 internationals out of your back 4 any squad in the country would struggle, as it is something you cannot compensate for.
We will finish between 5th & 8th, as that is were we sit.
If you believe we should be a top 4 team you need to sit down in a dark room and reevaluate your aspirations.
money is the key to success, and we have a little but not enough

Wouldn't mind those three in our midfield now, if all fit they'd be an improvement on the dross currently there.
FFS! throw in Hibbo riding down a hillside in a bath and it would be like Last of the Summer Wine...Wouldn't mind those three in our midfield now, if all fit they'd be an improvement on the dross currently there.
It's a pity we can't discuss any concerns we might have with the team at the moment without being accused of wanting the manager out
Enjoy Fargo2 - i have just started watching Mr Robot, and that is shaping up nicelyI think I'm right and you think you're right, but deep down you know you are, were as I only think I am.
so turn that around from my perspective and what we have is a Circular Argument where we have some common points but see different causes and conclusions.
It's call agreeing to differ, btw Fargo2 is shaping up nicely.
off to do other stuff now
I might or might not dip my toe back in this, but by enlarge I've said my say.
for now.
Peace bro.
FFS man leave your Martinez bashing for RAWK.It's a pity we can't discuss any concerns we might have with the team at the moment without being accused of wanting the manager out, but hey I'll have a go anyway.
The set up in central midfield worked a treat in his first season, i.e. the Barry/ McCarthy axis covering for the full backs when they bombed forward. 2 seasons later our FBs aren't getting forward as much, maybe understandably as our defensive woes have had to be addressed, but the 2 DMs setup remains rigidly in place with has resulted in us becoming predictable. Opposition managers know our formation before a ball is kicked and have effective plans in place to counter it. We need to break this up by either playing someone else in one of their positions or moving one of them further forward. Granted the diamond has been tried a few times by RM, but he seems to always revert back to his preferred formation. I'd really like to see McCarthy deployed as the sole defensive midfielder, as I think he would thrive on it.
Secondly we've been crying out for wide players for years. Now we've got loads of them but don't use them. Bizarre. If we're only going to use one at least use one with a more attacking mindset please. The Lennon/Naismith combo against Utd was a disaster waiting to happen since it showed them too much respect.
Thirdly the goalkeeping situation. Everyone can see that this needs to be addressed except the man that counts it would seem.
I am happy with him as our manager given our current status and like his plan to develop a team built on our young talent (not that he has much choice), and am willing to give him time to get it right. His job is as safe as houses as long we are not in any serious danger of relegation. Sometimes, however, he doesn't do himself any favours at all.
I'd agree that it is unrealistic to expect a top 4 finish with this squad, but as a bare minimum we should be top 8, more realistically top 6. Maybe that would be accepting mediocrity, but that's another story..
