Roberto Martinez discussion

Can't remember too many seeing past a playmaker as the problem we needed to fix in the summer.

It's convenient now for you to present the GK situation as the major issue back then.

Anyway, bottom line is that you and your cohorts wanted Martinez out from the get go. Guess what..it's not happening....which is nice!

Settle down for an enjoyable season where El Gaffer brings through a number of good young players and we build for season four and five under his guidance.

It's all good.
You just make things up,i like many others knew we wanted a new keeper i seem to remember you even saying howard will cause your beloved roberto problems.
Talking about a playmaker how did that go.
Your golden bollox el gaffer needs to up his game and prove he is the right man to take us forward because at the moment he is sliding backwards.
Lovely gesture giving tim the armband to lead us to battle, imagine being behind that brave leader

Why do you make stuff up in a debate,i never once wanted sherwood.
I wanted koeman.
The start was good but he is morphing into the man of last season again.
I take it you think he handled the goalkeeping situation well in the summer.
Blind love and making things up loses you a lot of respect.
I remember the championing of Sherwood, Mark Hughes and Eddie Howe...oh, and the return of Moyes - currently stinking La Liga out having previously killed Man Utd stone dead.

I'm sure you'll agree that wiser heads prevailed!

I thought we set up well and played well today. i would have liked to see Kone on sooner but maybe just me. I agree with @chicoazul that we need to stop going behind to start playing but i think roberto in his comments knew it wasn't enough. We played much better than Utd. Galloway is absolutely fantastic and made some great blocks today. While we're not getting the results I am really happy with how we' re consistenly developing youth players. The next 10 games are the bigger test

Always amazes me how a few people can be blinded by a bit of rhetoric.

He is going to have to prove himself over the next month or so.
Imagine koeman here and how exciting we would be.
How good would kev, gerry, rom and ross be under koeman

What rhetoric? I thought we broke well in the counter, our defence linked up with our midfield, and we had options on the wing. Our substitutions were attacking minded and we could have equalised in the second half. We were let down by our goalkeeper and our captain with poor aerial marking, which happened int he last game against Arsenal, which I'm not ecstatic about. However I thought it was a massive improvement compared tot he Arsenal match and not a cause for knee jerking compared to our previous results against Arsenal away.
