Roberto Martinez discussion

We will have to agree to disagree my old friend.
One thing is for certain we have some cracking players but do we have the right manager to get the best out of them
Time will tell mate, but history is against him.

We quite possibly over rate how good some of these players will be. Stone will be utterly sex though, he is right now.

The winter window will be incredibly important for Martinez. We need an extra attacking option ala Yarmolenko, even though I'm just not sure if he's gonna happen or not. But more importantly, we need a new keeper. Martinez got the lineup right today, maybe I start Mirallas over Lennon but I understand his reasonings behind the Lennon start. Tim Howard directly cost us the game today, and if he isn't replaced sooner rather than later, he will continue to steal points from the side. The manager is caught between a rock and a hard place, does he keep the faith with Howard over an unproven and often just as shaky Joel, or drop the veteran American for the Spaniard? To be honest, I just don't know which is the right answer.

But the goalkeeping situation is going to directly cost us European qualification if it isn't sorted in January, and if the manager doesn't fix it in that window, he deserves all the criticism in the world. But I think he did just about everything right today barring the late introduction of Kone, should've happened about ten minutes earlier. Not a terrible amount he could do about Howard chucking the ball into the net twice in a minute and forty seconds.

Yeah time will tell.
I think galloway as well as stones will be ace.
Big year for rom and ross they need managing well but can they get to the next level on a constant basis

INCREDIBLE CHARACTER?

Roberto, no. You're making it very hard for me to like you.

I mean to play devils advocate, we did show a good response to getting absolutely gut punched by two goals in a minute and a half. That is what character is ultimately, weathering tough times, and we didn't fold and indeed really took the game to arsenal where other teams might've just thrown their hands up and given in. So it's not exactly wrong to say we showed great character, even if it does smack of cliche.

What team is going to sell a top quality keeper in the middle of their season? We won't have the money for a yarmolenko type and a keeper. Will have to be one or the other

Imagine being turned down every day, but you just keep showing up the next day even though you know what's going to happen. Why? Because there's still a small chance that a miracle occurs. That's why we watch Everton isn't it? I finally get it. We cry every week, especially over the last couple of years, moreso for the people who watched us during the 90s. But we still come back. Why? Because miracles do happen. Those weeks when we win seem even more special with every loss. On to next week lads. Come you boys in Blue, make us proud.
