Roberto Martinez discussion

@davek I have no idea how you dealt with all of this last season. We lose to a team that beat Bayern Munich 2-0. We deserved to draw. And people still moan.
Can't be arsed with them mate. Theyre either Kopites or the troglodytes who've remained firmly in their caves all season until we hit a couple of poor results (as predicted). They'll crawl off back to RAWK/their cave once we get a win.

The funny part is that Roberto is safe as houses. He's never been in a stronger position at the club since he arrived. He is now Mr Everton in the absence of any other character at the club able to take up that role.

Just sit back, watch us beat Norwich this week in the LC and then see them disappear.

It's all good.

Mr everton ha ha.
If he keeps playing timmy he is in for a tough ride

Really hate the way that teams are finding us out in the last season and now this. Every team will press high and put men on our fullbacks and stones then sit back and watch jags pass it straight back to them or win the long hoof forward and get straight back into us again. Surely Martinez has more to him than jumping on the latest flavour of the month, which seems to be counter attack. Problem is we are sitting so deep we have no pressure on the ball until they get into our 18.

I for one think his tactics were spot on and we played a very good game minus the first 20 mins. The only problem I had was Tim Howard. He cost us the game.

I thought we set up well and played well today. i would have liked to see Kone on sooner but maybe just me. I agree with @chicoazul that we need to stop going behind to start playing but i think roberto in his comments knew it wasn't enough. We played much better than Utd. Galloway is absolutely fantastic and made some great blocks today. While we're not getting the results I am really happy with how we' re consistenly developing youth players. The next 10 games are the bigger test

I know you don't want to hear it. But it just happens to be true. Who speaks for Everton now? Who's the figurehead of the club in the eyes of the media?

13 points from "the opening 10 games from hell". One step away from the QF of the LC. We've started well enough and have built a platform for the season.

Of course, we could always get Sherwood in like you and the other experts wanted last season. Lol.

Why do you make stuff up in a debate,i never once wanted sherwood.
I wanted koeman.
The start was good but he is morphing into the man of last season again.
I take it you think he handled the goalkeeping situation well in the summer.
Blind love and making things up loses you a lot of respect.

Can't remember too many seeing past a playmaker as the problem we needed to fix in the summer.

It's convenient now for you to present the GK situation as the major issue back then.

Anyway, bottom line is that you and your cohorts wanted Martinez out from the get go. Guess what..it's not happening....which is nice!

Settle down for an enjoyable season where El Gaffer brings through a number of good young players and we build for season four and five under his guidance.

It's all good.

We were like scared rabbits in the headlights from the K.O. today. Beaten before a ball had been kicked.
Can't wait for him to go.
