Roberto Martinez discussion

Mind I do think Martinez is getting more credit for changing our style of play than he deserves.

The improvement in footballing style from last season to this is far less drastic then the improvement from the season before to last.

If you talking about football, I watch football to be entertained, if your talking about Everton I watch Everton in the hope that we beat the other team, FACT.

that is your OPINION! not FACT! think you need to do abit of basic research on what a fact and an opinion is mate..
thats my OPINION!

check the stats on every game this season, its been roughly 60% posession and lots of chances created, take a look, you'll be surprised on the amount of chances we create..

people seem to forget the chances we create because its at a slower pace now.. its not as fast and direct as with moyes..

Seeing as you have obviously seen the seasons figures, then post them mate.

I would like to know teams who have the mysterious plan b, to my mind it suggests a different way of playing an example might be Barca struggling in a game and going long ball or West Ham similarly placed deciding at half time to play like Arsenal.

Certainly City bring on the big lad Dzeko to provide the time honoured "lump it to the big lad" but in reality plan b is forum speak for having fresher equivalent players to call on.

There's an obvious problem at Everton why we don't have that.

There are more plan B's than just hoofball though.

How about instead of 2 DM's when losing, perhaps go for just one, how about pushing the DM's to CM and keeping back one of Baines/Coleman, swap a DM for an AM so we have 2 behind the striker, perhaps start Baines and/or Coleman further forwards/backwards depending on whats needed, get them passing triangles or squares instead of 1-2's, or if they are playing 1-2's how about triangles or squares? and so on, and so on.

Plan B doesnt have to just be hoof, it can be far more subtle and make just as much difference.

Also swapping like for like isn't plan B, its plan A still. A lot of teams add more atacking options to their team when required at the expense of defensive ones. Its not a new concept the GOT forum dreamt up, its a real thing.

We all like our new shiney Plan A when its working, its ace, some however would like to see something a little different than keeping on doing the same thing when its not working... a Plan B if you like.

Instead we do the same, over and over with inevitable results. (This of course only applies to when its clearly no working, like Arsenal, Liverpoo etc). When it is working and we are the better team, Chelsea, Spurs etc, keep going, but don't be afraid to change what we're doing a little when required.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I like watching everton.

I did last season, I have this. There's shots and passes and we tend to win, it's fun.

Given the utter awful crap we've all sat and watched under Smith and Moyes, can we not just appreciate that?

I like watching Everton when we win, when we dont win, I dont care that the entire team did keep up on the halfway line and performed seal kicks for 90minutes.

Theres no such thing as an entertaining defeat.
