Everton are considering making a bid for Barcelona's 20-year-old forward Munir El Haddadi. (Don Balon - in Spanish)

Munir has struggled recently but would be an interesting loan signing and would indicate the links with Barcelona are still strong - seen him play for Barca much @bicycleheader ?

That would be interesting. He showed some great stuff in the B team before making a great start to the season last season. Saw him a few times for the Bs before I got too lazy to go and have seen probably all his games in the first team. Quick and skillfull and previously showed a good eye for goal with decent finishing.

The problem is currently him and Sandro look way off what it takes to be an effective player in a top league team....never mind at Barça. The main thing they seem to offer is very good movement to open up space for Neymar and that other bell.

But for what he has shown when on form I´d be happy with that and I´m sure Bobby would get him playing again. Definitely has the will to succeed, even when not playing very well he keeps looking for the ball. Keeps trying.

Probably jargisimo though....

Unlile some posters mate I don't try to alter the laws of physics to avoid admitting I was wrong about anything. If Kone vaulting is now the done thing then there's many a better target than me for this. To put context around that comment, I always said Kone deserved a chance rather than people writing him off when he first arrived. At the time we were discussing Martinez's transfers though and selling Jelavic for a 30 year old injured Kone didn't seem great business. It still might not be but he is definitely playing very well this season.

Stats are put in front of you and thats the best response you can come up with ? I hope you are using it because your sad rather than goading the anti martinez regime.

I honestly didnt know his record was that bad to be honest.

The response was actually how I felt, that is to say sad. Won 15 out of 48 is 31%. Was there a need for me to make a written reply, I do not think so and what can one say. The figures are not very good, okay. Now I do not know for sure but I bet at times under our EX there was a simlar %.

Links are so strong ? We loaned Delboy and got him on the cheap because they got a buy back clause. Were are these so called 'strong links' coming from ?

Well handled mate ! If we get through the next ten games with a majority of wins and the odd draw, people will not be worthy of our Catalan Wizard, until we hit a rough patch and then everyone is plotting again. @Stanley Parker perfect example of how this forum states you must be in one camp or another, based on opinions in a results based business, many wanted Kone gone, some thought he needed a chance of a injury free run. Well played Kone ;)

He's got the attack going great guns and the turn around for Kone has been phenomenal. He deserves credit for sticking with him and giving him the chance to get back to form

Our defending is horrid though

A better team would have really punished us today

Luckily, Sunderland are absolute cack

Still, a good 3 points but that defence needs serious work and I still stand firm to my belief that Martinez needs to delegate it to somebody else

Pretty much this for me.

Just read few the last few pages....as expected, anybody not 100% convinced or still unsure about certain things is immediately labelled as a hater, or has an agenda...blah blah blah blah. Usual suspects as well labelling people, nothing new there.

Thought we were painfully sloppy for the first 15-20 minutes and could have easily been 2 down if Sunderland had a bit of luck. Thankfully the attacking players were able to create a bit of magic at times and we all go home happy.

Still don't understand why we can't grab a game by the scruff of the neck from the start, let's hope we don't get punished next time that happens and find ourselves chasing the game.

On paper a good win and show from the front lads and let's hope it gives them the confidence going into the next set of fixtures. I understand we cannot always give the perfect performance, but there are a few things we could still improve on which would help the side and have an immediate impact, and the defence concentrating fully is one of them.

We didn't look great at the back at times, but Stones didn't have a great day and that happens sometimes, especially as Jags is out. GD is also not great at tracking back (his forward play is exceptional though) and Coleman is not 100% fit, so we looked sloppy but overall we produced some very good football and were good value for the win. Kone has repaid the faith RM has shown in him and for my money he has underlined RM's ability to know a good player when he sees one. I'm sick of the stick handed out to Barkley and I think some of us should give RM a break with his comments, English is not his first language and the comparison with Brenton (here and elsewhere) is unfair. I think when Baines is back, Coleman fully fit and Cleverly available we will look more solid and if Rom, GD, Barkley and Kone can hit form together we will be a match for anyone.

I think Kone's recent contributions and our form in 13/14 shows the areas that were missing last season and at times this season. For the system to work you need the Pienaar type player who can cut inside and get the ball into good positions for Barkley Del and Lukaku. Last season we just didn't have it, and when Kone's not played this season we've looked blunt going forward at times. Perhaps Martinez thought Cleverley could be this player (I don't think so). Hopefully Kone can tie us over for this season and the next but we really need to be replacing that type of creative player. A new keeper, more progressive central mid and playmaker and we have everything to be a very good team. What we need to do though is recognise that Naismith will not perform the same role as Kone and play differently in order to win games when we don't have any creative players fit. Just asking Lennon and Naismith to do what Pienaar and Kone can to link play is not the answer.
