A neutral would concur, this is the new form of loaning talented players
utter tripe, how is it different to any other by-back clause in history?

Player is sold to another club gets a 3-4 year contract say, at the end of that contract the player can go where he wants. At any point before that if the Club want rid the can sell him. Yeah they have to give his old club first refusal but then the player has to agree to it as well.

At no point is the Player loaned. There are too many risks involved to even think about it as a loan, that's just lazy FIFAnaut Bell talk because you want to appear to have some sort of an insight or intelligence.

Pretty sure you could count the amount of players that have turned down Barca on 1 finger.

Of course. However, I suppose it depends on the 'pitch' they give the player. If they're seriously gonna use him, then he'll likely be off at some point. He won't go back there just to make a profit for them though.

Anyway, I was being a touch sarcastic. I was merely pointing out that if it was a loan, as this Barca lid is suggesting, then Del would have no say in the matter.

I realise this now.

Barca will only take him when if he becomes a top, top player, theres a small chance that he will, but I honestly cant see it happening within the 3 years they retain a buy back. Dont get me wrong, I think hes playing wonderfully at the moment and the amount hes improved since he was last here is superb.

You're making the mistake of trying to engage an utter sphincter of a man.

He's a talent, and Barca would be incredibly stupid not to bear him in mind. If he goes back there, and gets game time, then fair play to the lad. They're not just a giant, they're also his boyhood club.

My big fear is that they might fill his head with crap, tell him he's gonna play, and then just basically look to sell him. Serious question here; if they did that, would you be happy for us to just go 'sod it, here's £25m, give us him back' ?

Would be a weird one like.
