I dont think there's any doubt now that Everton are the nations favourite second team. Already we've been dubbed The Entertainers by the media and the whole country stops what they're doing to watch our golden generation swagger about the pitch with their rapid one touch football.

Apparently though some of our own supporters want Tony Pulis in.
Who wants Pulis? or yet again are you lying?

The Entertainers we are and the Entertainers we will continue to be with our jaw dropping football. I don't think people want Tony Pulis. I think they want a manager that gets his team to defend like they do away from home, and that team, has only have conceded 9 away goals in the league so far.

at one point there were definite calls for pulis, or a pulis type, or pulis wouldn't allow this etc etc

Pulis has to be one of the worst shouts going. Like seriously wtf??? He plays hoof, his teams are dirty scumbags, it's ALWAYS the referee's fault for him or they'd be running away with the title, he relied on a guy launching foul throws for a number of seasons, only manager I've seen at this level have a premeditated plan to injure opposition threats...... I could go on here but I'll leave it there.

Be realistic people. I'm really upset with Martinez myself at the minute. But Neil Lennon and Pulis??? Can only assume new year's celebrations have started at breakfast for some lol

There just aren't the options to replace right now. If necessary (as looks likely) it will be changed in the summer.

I'm not saying he is lying although he does it a lot, I thought I may have missed calls for Martinez to be replaced by Pulis, just wondering who it was or who they were.

Unfortunatly at the moment the 'in vogue' trend around he is to, put politely exaggerate the truth massively' or to be truthful 'lie'

For example a week or so ago,I said....

'If we win the LC all Martinez has to do is keep us up'

Put my phone down for 5 minutes

Came back and Dave had turned that into

'Hahahaha Ian said in order to keep his job Martinez has to win the cup'

Their is loads of other instances of him doing this, I'd suggest the Pulis shout is one also.

Yes, there is a big disaparity. Why is that? Maybe the team are more comfortable in front of opposition and away Everton supporters than they are at Goodison?

If true does that not raise serious questions about their mentality and ability to perform under pressure?

Not being able to cope with the Goodison atmosphere is no defense whatsoever.

like a lot of teams (those derided as frauds and long all merchants) we tend to play on the counterattack away from home and do it to a reasonable degree of success. Sit deep, two holding mids, three CBs in the back 4, midfielder on the wing, one striker, lots of men behind the ball then we break at pace. Makes it easier to defend and probably accounts for the defensive upturn. It's when the master plan comes out at Goodison that the entertainers are picked off with ease by all and sundry.
