Roberto Martinez discussion

Its a win you go for every time you cross that white line.
The whole point of playing the game is to try and win a trophy.

No one said it isn't so it's totally irrelevant point to make.

Martinez always sends his teams out to win unlike our previous manager who told us himself he just wanted to get out of certain places alive. However for a club like Everton who've been stuck in mid table mediocrity for far too long and can't buy there way out of it I want to see something different from Allardyce, Moyes, Pullis type football that may get you wins in the short term and keep you nice and solid but long term won't win anything.

A lot of aspects of Martinez's football keeps me positive that he can be that man to kick us on but the first half today was grim. I know loads will take the approach that it's ok though cause we were winning but I wouldn't want to see that type of performance each week because long term, you won't win any trophies playing like that.

I think you swallowed the southern media's Kool Aid there.

FFS give your own team a bit of credit for once. I dont think I'm the only one who's noticed you have nothing good to say about our play or players. Get behind the team.

Ha ha that old line. I've said loads of good things about our players when they play well. I'm not one for dressing up home draws as managerial masterclasses though. What you see as negativity is just realism set against your blind optimism linked to the cult of personality of this certain manager.

There's now a growing gap between us and the top ten and there's still people on here saying we're the best footballing side in the league. Ridiculous.

As for today the first half was a massive eye opener seeing how far behind a team like Spurs we'd fallen. We did well to rally late in the second half but even with them cruising around we didn't land a blow on them. A few positives yes but all this 'Robertto figured out Pochettino' posturing is rubbish.

Earlier this month we were playing well but getting unlucky: Palace, Bournemouth first half Norwich. But second half Norwich, Leicester, Stoke, and large parts of Newcastle and Spurs games were just really average Nd this is now reflecting more and more in the league table.

We now need 33 points from 18 games to make your minimum expectation for the season. That's almost two points a game and is the sort of form that only Arsenal and Leicester have been showing.

Don't think he is a CM myself. Think he doesn't offer much defensively in CM.

There's a few decisions Roberto has to make regarding the CM now that Besic is looking like a good quality player and he's just got to sort a quality left midfielder this window so gonna be interesting

Moyes had us averaging 6th/7th in the league building his own team after the mess he was left.
Last season and this we are averaging 11th under martinez with a brilliant squad
Your point makes no sense

Ha, they dominate 70 minutes on our own ground but because we put on a bit of a good finish we had them 'figured out'. Another Martinez master stroke.

We've been dominating teams all year but cause they've put on a good finish and we've ended up drawing Martinez is getting slated so what is it??

Has Martinez done well today and Pottecino had a nightmare, cause that's what I've been getting told has been happening here when we dominate teams but don't win.

Some agenda driven posters seem to want to have there cake and eat it, with one rule for one and one for another.
