Roberto Martinez discussion

Nobody defending the '9 goals away from home' mantra needs to.

The mere fact that they believe it's something of significance; a fact that has to be made a song and dance of, tells me all I need know.

Aargh right, I'm certainly not making a song and dance over it but the fact that you choose to deem it totally irrelevant tells us all we need to know about where you are coming from.

I get the impression you're only looking negatives and can't see any positives no matter how small they may be.

There's also a genuine question to be asked and that's why can we defend well enough to be our best ever away from home but not at home.

If we were in the top 2 or 3 then it'd be not only relevant, but dead reassuring, also.

We're nither, so the stat is neither. And especially when all the work away from home means burger-all if you waste the effort with home form.

This forum is quickly catching twitter up for post match cryin arses!

Truth is spurs are in great form we are not and a point is a good result

Imo this squad and manager have the potential to bring some silverware home for us but unfortunately for whatever reason its not going so well at the moment however we are certainly not alone for it this season so we need to take it on the chin

Like Yer mar would

That first half was as bad as it gets, it genuinely looked like the players hadn't trained all week. It was a miracle we got in level at the break, we improved a lot in the second half. We badly need to fix this problem of one good half, one gash half

I have the answer. You just ignore the bad half of each match and only focus on the good period like quite a few on here do. You can also extrapolate it to the season as a whole like the way a few people have just ignored all the games before Sunderland at home this season. They weren't there when the entertainers were drawing v Watford, Swansea, Spurs, Liverpool or losing to City United Arsenal. They just know that we've been playing the league's best football all season.

You don't see the bigger picture pal, there's no point in even discussing this any futher, we're going around in circles.

"Balance" really is a dirty word in this thread

You have to be one extreme end of the spectrum or the other

Martinez can be good at some things and bad at other things

You won't find a perfect manager, they don't exist

It's just getting silly now with some people. If Martinez is as good as you let on, he'd be managing Real Madrid or Barcelona

He's a good manager overall, but he has definite flaws that he doesn't appear to be addressing, flaws that could potentially hold him and Everton back. To act otherwise is irrational and irresponsible

If you can find me one, just one poster on here who doesn't accept he has flaws........................

I can promise whatever I want at this point cause you won't find one.

You're right

Conceding 8 goals in the last 3 home games really highlights our superb defensive organisation

Bloody hell, some of you get so butt hurt if everyone isn't 100% complimentary about Martinez all the time. It really is cult like.

Live in your panacea where Martinez is amazing and has us defending the best we've ever defended during 4-3 defeats at home

Your attitude will only turn reasonable people against your deity, and this is coming from someone whose Martinez In FFS
3 dodgy pens and a complete fluke not to mention I'm talkin'mush
