Its not the personnel, its the system. You always defend from the front and we are not, allowing oppositon far to much space in the holes and we are being punished. Its far too easy for the opposition.

Granted the defenders have made silly mistakes, but they should not be under that amount of pressure. This is like Wigan

The defence is not getting the support, i.e. the closing down, from the fron 4 and the 2 holding midfielders. There are holes everywhere and the opposition are finding them far to easily and putting unecessary pressure on the back line. You always defend from the fron, and we are not

Bunch of bad bells. Nothing wrong with the coaching. Its a simple case of senior pros having utter brainfarts and stupid errors which have cost us every single time.
Howard communicates for that first goal, no issue.

Osman hears the 30,000 people screaming man on as he dallies with the ball outside the box inside of falling off the ball like icecream of a cone on a hot day, no issue.

Moyes would never have allowed 13 in 5 games and I'm no Moyes lover.

In all honesty I think the unit still had a bit of the 'Moyes era' in them last year; thats why we were still solid, it was the perfect blend of Martinez's take and Moyes hard working attitude

We weren't easily the better team though were we? So many of our players gave the ball away so often, if we scored two at the end you couldn't say we deserved it because we were "easily the better team."

We were though. Completely dominant bar stupid mistakes. The scoreline didn't tell the story at all, which is why the defeat is hard to take. We weren't amazing by any stretch of the imagination but we were comfortably the better team.

To be fair mate osman should be nowhere near the first team.
On the subject of howard he knows there is no competition for him and since the beard he has been awful bar the wolfsburg game

Matt we have been saying this since we shipped out tons of goals for the first three matches but it seems like our defence never learn. Or we really should have kept Stones and Jags as CB.

My concern is it has been individual errors in EVERY game which has led to goals.

When does it stop being individual errors and something bigger?

To me we dont look a team at the moment.

Don't you think it's up to you to defend 13 goals conceded in 4 games, if you believe that those goals had nothing to do with the manager, not the other way round??

Even the individual lapses can be eradicated with proper input from management - Moyes benched Coleman for a couple of months when we conceded late to Reading away. Harsh, but you can't allow any bad mistakes to pass by without action being taken.
