Roberto Martinez discussion

Martinez is the man. Look at the team he is building, truly something special, we've been sayin all season if we sort out the defence we will be ok and shoot ip the table, the last couple of games we have sorted out the defence and got two draws against two very very good teams. Needs at least till the end of next season to see out what he started and build a brilliant young exciting team, if we're still in the same situation next season then yer maybe he's had long enough but it's still a building processes at the minute

Please tell me you don't take the polls seriously? Haven't certain pro Martinez posters been proven to have polled in favour of getting Moyes back? The answer is yes BTW when I 100% want him gone I'll type it.

So you're saying you voted to fire him as a joke? There was a not sure option if you were undecided.

Has anybody come up with any realistic replacements for Martinez ??? the haters want him out but who's out there who could do the job ?
My own feelings are, I'm happy with him, he's building a decent squad bit by bit... he hasn't had the cash to go and spunk 100 million every window so this is how it has to be done.

Why are You Talking about me at the moment. Quite a lot recently if I offer nothing in terms of validity of my post ms why are you bothering with me? You're coming across odd at the moment. I have been 100% consistent in my thoughts in Martinez and more importantly 100% consistent that my only prerequisite with regards the club us us winning as often as possible. Do that and the stats I base my POV on become non relevant. Until then my stance continues. Even if I'm the last person standing

75 points from from the last 177 avaliable is poor and he deserves pulling up on it.

Why am I talking about you? Well, that would be because you're about as consistent as a load of sperm.

Remind me again why you hated Moyes so much. And then tell me why you think that Hughes or Pullis would offer more to our club than MOYES, or Martinez.

You wanted Moyes out, you want Martinez out, yet you think Hughes or Pullis are the answer. You basically haven't got a clue, and you're just a malcontent.

*waits for Ian to tell me he never wanted either Moyes or Martinez sacked*

I was a vote for polling sake. I've stuck my neck out against the majority enough to prove that I will say what I think. This is no different. I have said for weeks now he needs to be doing better, I've also praised him for certain performances, vault me on that....if you're playing fair of course.

One win in 8 now - clearly it's time to move on from this joker. second half last night was ridiculous - on that showing can't see how we can keep them out in the second leg.

Cant see how we can keep them out in the second leg? Well if you actually watched yesterdays game you should know. It was tactically very smart. It was clear from the start what was the aim. Defend tightly. It was important draw cause it gives us good confidence to that second leg.

Oh look. Telling him to give it up, whilst basically agreeing. How very clever. How very novel.

I've never seen that strategy used before, honest.

Anybody whinging about that performance or result last night need their head testing.

It was a very good performance, and a decent/good point.

Clearly the players are still with the manager, and that's the benchmark for me. The benchmark certainly isn't what a load of anonymous people bang on about online.

I want results that's what matters we can have different opinions clearly. We're are we in the league again? How many wins in the last 8 games?

As from last night.....

What was your biggest worry ahead of the second leg of the league cup? Conceding and losing the tie?

Last night we proved we can shut them out, without our first choice full back and a centre half playing there instead. I'm all for the dramatics like but My main concern was leaking goals and costing us the wins, now we have stopped doing that, we are still in pole position for making a cup final and potentially on current showing, we are proving to be a hard to beat team with players who can score on a whim.

What i want from roberto (especially after last years horror show) is signs he can adapt, learn and fix problems. After my concerns the other week to the contrary, he seems to be doing that. That will do for me, and a 90 minutes away from a cup final situation is a mark of how good our season could end up being despite our defensive issues.
