I wonder how long it will take for the people who are providing excuse after excuse for our crap performances start to realise that they are excuses? I think we still have a good few months of excuse making to go before people stop making excuses.

Yes, but that's what inspired us last season. He was always going to suffer a reaction in his second season. He made a massive error not getting at least two defenders in. But he's earned a period of downturn given the record number of points last season and the quality of football. We need to stick it out with him. There's no question he'll be leaving anyway.

I hear you mate but the number of goals being shipped is beyond the level of acceptable leeway. It's virtually unheard of even for sides that finish bottom of the league.

the entire possession thing as been sussed, close in and pressure our players forcing them to loose the ball and then have the freedom to run off.

barkley is a huge loss but his entire gameplan is now flawed; what were doing to teams last year is being done to us and the defence is taking the brunt. They're also making individual errors which is just making the situation worse.

We need Barkley back. If he's there we don't get exposed so much and our attack becomes much more potent. Improving is as simple as that, becoming a force again depends on replacing a tired and stale central defensive unit...and that will take time.

We've gone from one of the best defences in the league to one of the worst in less than 4 months. Barkley will give more composure to the midfield but how he can help a defence that is constantly over run won't hapen.

its bigger than the defence, much bigger. Its a tactical nightmate which is not being addressed due to the manager wanting to play acertain way. Theres a reason why wigan shipped so many goals, week by week its beconing easier to see why

Thankfully our manage wont wet the bed like some fans at the sight of a crap run of form.

Barkley means the likes of McCarthy and Barry don't have to drive forward to support attacks because he sucks in a couple of defenders most times. Our defence is horribly exposed by our midfielders having to force the issue and are putting themselves under pressure with errors.

And we're suppose to be happy with that? I thought we have some higher expectations and ambitions.

I would be happy with lower league position when it was compromised by a good cup run. Well, we just get knocked off from one.

it was a crap game with not much in it until Distin did a Distin, how can Bobby legislate for Distin filling up his seasons quota of Distins before we are even ten games in.

Its all a big messy freakshow of bad luck and some bad form for me.

Carry on freaking out though.
