Roberto Martinez discussion

Developing?

Not learning from past mistakes is all I see.

How many points are we going to throw away this season?

How many times are we going to concede 3 or more in a game?
We were robbed, we didn't throw it away. Didn't you notice that?

If you can't see development under a very talented manager then fair enough. Most outside the kneejerkers of this thread do see it though.

Thank God the man will be allowed the full five seasons to roll his plan out....and THAT is exactly what's going to happen regardless of the keyboard chairmen crying their entitled eyes out on a footy forum.

Martinez needs to contact the corrupt ref company that runs PL football and call them out on this now. It's gone beyond a joke.
Mate...as long as human beings are refereeing in this game these things will happend. But if there is such a thing as karma....our bank just filled up.

Angry Martinez slams Chelsea’s equalizer, “diabolical” ref; Terry delighted

“I am very angry. Top and bottom we lost a football game because of a horrific decision right at the end,” Martinez said. “It is clearly offside. It is over the time. It was seven minutes and if you look at the time when we conceded it was well over the time. That is something that is clear-cut, not just the referees decision. It is something that is black and white.”

We have had it taken away in a very unfair manner,” Martinez continued. “All you want is the referee to do his job. The linesman is in a good position and John Terry is clearly offside. It is a clear-cut decision. It is over the time, I think that is something we should look in to. Everyone should be aware of the time that is remaining. It is another minute on top. That is not good enough if you look at the amount of effort we’ve had to put in performing on Wednesday and now. It is not good enough, taking two points away in the manner it was done. Nobody in the away stand deserved that. Nobody in the dressing room deserves that. It is a shocking thing to have to cope with.”

“Unfortunately you don’t get anything out of it [asking the referee for an explanation]. We won’t get the two points back, that is the frustrating part of it,” Martinez added. “The level of the referee is diabolical in that respect. It is something that is very hurtful. Nobody deserves that. It is something that is down to a decision. If you ask any Chelsea fan they will tell you it was offside and over the time. That is not a point of view or a little bit of a debate. It is clear-cut and an incredible decision to see in what we consider the best league in the world.”

He's done it. Called the ref out.

I love the way we play Football now. I would complain if we had spent 200m over a couple of years and were not in the top 4 but we haven't and never will under this board. Therefore I am very satisfied and love watching us now. Great football is a positive and progressive step and if he can find that balance (or gets given plenty of money) then who knows what can happen. He has been here 2 and a half seasons and now we serve up some lovely football that the media and neutrals appreciate more than most of our own. That to me is the first step to any attempt of cracking the top 4.

We were 2-0 up and gifted them a way back into the game. How many more times this season will we concede pathetic goals and throw points away?

If you are happy with that then you have very low expectations. I don't.

Beat City + 3 draws with them+Chelsea and Spurs.

Personally i think those are very good results.

Bad luck in a lot of games this season, a young team which is evolving and some shocking decisions...

If we can get 3pts vs swansea and get through against city i think we will start to go on a bit of a run.

We WILL finish in the top 8 and hopefully get into a cup final. Next year we will start to look like top 6 candidates and the following year go for top 4.

At warp speed Mr Sulu.

Same old sane old mate.

A load of entitled people fuming that we never got all three points against a team costing hundreds of millions.

I see (and the people in charge plus the rest of the sane world sees) a team on the verge of a cup final and with two losses in sixteen matches.

Picks his battles very well.

Brilliant.

Oh I know that. No bottle, just like Martinez' teams.

76 points from 180 avaliable and people are lauding those who are happy with us just being know as 'The Entertainers'
Once again your bitterness proves you agenda
No fault of the manager today, if anything he got everything right
Individual error and poor decision by linesman cost us
The team was positive with two wide men
The two substitutions were positive as we wanted the 3 points as opposed to defending 1pt
I know you have your agenda but your bitterness is truly toxic

When the dust settles, we will look back on today as Lady Luck not being with us

It's great we play such entertaining football.

It's great we have a decent squad of young players.

It's pants that we hardly win football matches and that we are a mid table outfit despite all of the above.

Let's hope he flukes a cup win, it will all seem worthwhile then.
