Roberto Martinez discussion

Wont happen, and you know it.

They've had an unbelievable season with Vardy doing a Suarez out of his skin season. It wont last. You know it.

They had Chelsea, us, Liverpool, City, Bournmouth and then spurs in a row and that was the run everyone said would see them crash and burn - they lost 1 game in that entire run and beat Spurs, us and Chelsea - 11 points out of their nightmare 6 game stretch? that in and of itself is a points schedule for top 4 mate

...which is why I said it'll be a good season if we get both a great cup run and a 60 point season. Some others thought I was being waaaay too conservative with that...turns out they were miles off and I was bang on the money.
So according to you predicting 60 points and us then finishing with 50 is indicative of you being bang on???

But why would you be upset with Martinez? His team gets to 3-2 and the time added on is over...and then an offside goal is ruled good.

I'm missing where it's his any of his fault.

Defensive frailty at 0-2. Defensively poor all season and he hasn't changed it.

We've had too many 2-2, 3-3, 2-3, 3-4 results. Attacking wise I have next to no complaints. But my word are we poor defensively.

Haaaaa.....y'think, kinda of insulting that by implication really? What t'do eh? Should I do as you & REPORT my 'offence' at such a comment and then, as you, flounce off in m'nightie too...?

Nah.

It's funny, you & your ilk, you simply will NOT see fault in the man will you, it's a blind-spot almost, papered over by talk of building & the future an' all that kinda thing. But do tell...how big will the future be when the assets we have now have offed elsewhere because mid-table mediocrity isn't really 'doing it' for them?

What are the prem stats again? Would you like me to tell you?

Oh, and here's a thing too....did their goal count? Thought so. So not 'illegal' eh? It's a goal.

In fact it's their third.

And we were winning 2-0, yes?

Again, show me where I said I'm happy with how things currently are?

The rest of your post is unreadable sorry, not sure what you're on about.

Hahaha. This is the kind of absolute horse sh** you have to deal with with in here.
Well you know where the exit door is if you don't like it you bell.
And there's the door to this thread.

Threadbanned, please don't use personal insults, and if you think the 'stuff you have to deal with' is not to your liking then contribute positively rather than detracting.

We still looking at 60 points Dave?
That's the target yes. As said, it'll be an achievement if we do secure it plus the cup run we've had.

Others thought 70 points were possible while rebuilding.

Turns out they were spectacularly wrong but my prediction is still up and running.

Funny that.

It was a massive deflection...Howard had it covered. It was not a crap/soft goal to concede.
You just completely disregarded what I wrote. I said deflection aside. If you look back you'll see Fabregas walking through our midfield with no one moving with or around him. If our defenders stand stock still all game but Howard somehow makes a thousand brilliant 1 on 1 saves is that good defending? At that point in the game we simply lost all belief and it took a set piece to get it back. Please be impartial in your assessment.

And we didn't? Yes?

Because, like I said, we're almost & often incapable of killing games off.

Because, again, there is insistence to fanny about with the ball and lose possession almost CONSTANTLY.

Are you not seeing that? Or are you also of the school that PERFORMANCE is more important than RESULTS?

Performance is the most important thing to be able to get results consistently. We are producing performances and very good performances and they will reap the reward of points eventually. Our performances deserve more points and that we can all agree on but we are not quite there yet but are certainly going in the right direction. If we played the high ball to front quick like we used to then we would not be progressing in terms of longtivity, we may temporary get some better results but you know that type of football is just a toss of the coin percentage football that will get us knowhere in terms of progress.

If they won't pay that, that's another season off the remaining length of his contract, we don't hold all the cards over the longer period. He either signs before the Euros or we sell.

Stones has till 2019. So another season and he will atill have 2 years left on it. I think he will aign a 5 year contract before the summer and atay for 2 seasons more...if we are in the top 4 then were laughing if not then he and lukaku would leave.

They take a big risk career wise leaving now...

If we win the cup it will certainly be no fluke.

Yes we have talented Young players and they are still learning. We cannot go out and buy ready made class players we have to make them class ourselves then we have to try and keep them away from the vultures.
#
Yes it is pants we are mid-table but as said above we have young inexperienced players that are still learning but you can see we are in the making of a very good footballing team if we can hold off the vultures.

Not arguing, but the open way we play, we will need a lot of luck to win anything at it is based on purely attack. Still, he pulled it off with Wigan, so let's hope he can do the same for us.

As for keeping off the vultures, I think there is very little chance of that happening with our centre back and centre forward.

Martinez has a go at the ref and linesman in his post match comments, but he even manages to do it in a nice way..

Bobby I really wish you would come out spitting fire and calling them all a bunch of cheats (I'd add expletives but for the swear filter) and I'd have great respect and belief in you if you went into the dressing room and gave Jagielka,Stones,Funes Mori a tongue lashing for all falling to win the header, Deulofeu a slap for losing the ball in the 97th minute. And as for Tim Howard I'd understand if you just pissed in his face and sh## in his mouth.

But sadly I don't think your capable of doing this things BOBBY, because nice guys have nice players.

Nice guys win nowt
You say you'll avoid the swear filter and then swear using a horrible visual description. Please don't do it again.
