Roberto Martinez discussion

No mate, they kept losing possession, I'd have been happier with some hoofing...in fact loads of it, loadsa hoofing might have brought the points home today...

In fact wellying too, I'd have preferred wellying, toey's...the lot.
Chelsea kept coming and coming because it was endless loose passes, some long but the most round the half way line. Barkley ran out of steam and didn't want to defend, Lennon looked lost tracking back and Besic was running round like a headless chicken, Barry was the most forward of the two CM trying to close down because Besic was out of position.

It's just one weird season following the blues,we are definitely playing our best stuff since the mid-80's but shooting ourselves in the foot nearly every game, this month is massive/pivotal,both for Martinez and Everton as a club IMHO.
Agree with that in bold mate. We are superb value to watch. Which is why I disagree a bit with your conclusion. I dont see this month being pivotal - important yes - but nothing will rest on it as far as the future of the manager goes. The football being played is from the Gods.

That said, if we do get through to the cup final RM is even more safe as houses than he is right now.

In reality the best teams are the ones that win the most games. Not score the most goals.

I'd prefer to win every game 1-0 I think.

Well i think this approach will help us long term. Just like man utd used to destroy teams, we arent far off...

by the way i remember you thought £0 spend this window and just outgoings. If we get byram it will be about £7mil spent...i guessed £15mil total so youre still closer.

Do you think we will get anyone else or you still a bit negative on incomings?

Surely the most dissapointed are the ones who want us to win the most? They're not angry for no reason, we lost points today just like we gained them V city in midweek....no reasonable Evertonian would blame Mike Jones for us winning only 18 in the last 60 games. Would they?

It's been a constant stream of excuses this season.
You enjoy tonight mate

  • Since 28 November, Everton have dropped a league-high 11 points from leading positions in nine Premier League games.
If we had thrown away leads it would put us 4th in the table, is that down to inexperienced players?
