Roberto Martinez discussion

We are 12th in the league. We finshed 11th last season. There has been more goals scored at Goodison then any other ground in the league. Any other club and he'd be gone in my opinion. Will never happen though. Overrated in my opinion. If we finish lower than last season i dont see how he stays.
Cup form keeping him safe at present. Lose both games in the next week though and the board have a decision to make.

Hope we turn this round draw at City and snot Carlisle but I can't see it happening. Just beat Carlisle and draw RS away.

Been a big fan off Roberto since I used to see Wigan play I put it down to the players not being good enough but now it's down to him we may have better football to watch but our results since he has been here av been awful it's time for a change

Agreed about his cup lifeline. They definetly will have a decision to make. That of sort puts us in limbo in the transfer market if he is to go.

I think the reason Martinez doesn't get the stick the performances deserve is the future promise. He's painted a picture of us building something special, and so people will tolerate poor performances in the short term in the hope it will click in the future.

Everyone has a different point at which they say "enough is enough" however, and it's just a matter of when most fall into the camp that believes it will never click. I'm prepared to give him until the end of the season as I can see the positives, but if we have back to back mid-table finishes with this team (given the utter tripe above us in the table) then I just can't see how it's excusable. Our future hopefuls won't stick around long enough for his vision to become a reality.

Weve got all this talent on paper and you go by the numbers Martinez can't seem to get the best out of them. All this talk of building something special. Results are what matters. And for 2 seasons we haven't been getting them. Home and away.

Less than 25 minutes from me wanting a compete change of manager. This will be my final straw.

He might fluke a result at City midweek, that will be just papering over the cracks though.

The board should at the very least be considering pulling the trigger now, yet I doubt they've even had the thought cross their minds.
