as for Substance, we lost at home to Palace who are currently 11th in the league - bottom half team right their mate, so should be 'we've only lost twice at home to teams in the bottom half' to be correct

I honestly couldn't name one who'd do worse. Van Gaal aside he is underachieving more than any manager in the league right now.

Don't think a cup win should be the deciding factor in whether he stays or goes. Cup win and a top half finish at the very least. Don't look for too many excuses, he has the players to perform at a much higher level than we currently are.

Conundrum. If we don't finish in the top half at least I expect we will lose one fan favorite perhaps two. The machine is breaking down to much as confidence is being lost on the pitch and in the stands. My biggest smile today was Pienaar trotting on trying to break down the Swans. I loved our second half response but we have limited means for end product which in turn keeps us essentially standing still. We must find our mojo again and soon or else.

I never said we were in a relegation battle. Nor did I say we will be. We're as close to relegation as we are to 5th place as it stands. Doesn't look like we're anywhere finishing 5th neither, does it?
