I still see progress in amongst all this, I can see the future Bobby is trying to map out for us and I'm happy to wait until next season to bear the fruits of his labour. We just need to get behind him and look long term.

The future you see isn't based on actual evidence though is it? I'm very cautious about giving him another season because right now I worry about where that will take us.

Really wish I shared your optimism. I just can't look past 12 wins in 38 league games last year and only 6 wins in 23 this season.

You know if we had a different manager we'd still play good football with this set of players but we'd also actually win games?

id prefer give the manager his contracted time when i see plenty of progress and positives. even if there are negatives.

Its based on seeing the huge improvement in our general play and the young squad he is putting together. Replace Howard and get this squad to the end of the season and the experience will serve them well next season.

Can't be surprised by youngsters making naive mistakes, and I'm willing to give him more time.

There's absolutely no progress, mate. We are going so far backwards from where we were when Moyes left us.

Why should one game in the Mickey Mouse cup make any difference whatsoever. If he's bad enough now, he's bad enough after another 90 minutes regardless of the result.

True: I have no logical answer to give you, a win in the semi would buy him sometime. The players for the first time today looked like they couldn't give a toss, not all but the vast majority.

I said it before but his loyalty to Howard was going to be his downfall and I can't change my mind about that.

He has done nothing to rectify our shambolic defensive record, all that aside 3 wins since September and all against the bottom 3 is the most fanning statistic going.

I don't see the progress though.
We cannot win and are 12th with this great squad.
We are going backwards

The squad he's put together is his only defence. Absolutely pointless assembling these players if you can't use them though.

I'd get rid, same mistakes over and over again. Team shape hardly ever changes despite it not working.

Martinez over 3 years has been a poor manager here. If he was our chief scout then the man would be brilliant at his job but as a manager he has been poor.
