i said in some games.

we may win more games and play well with another manager.

we may also struggle and be crap. ive no idea.

id prefer give the manager his contracted time when i see plenty of progress and positives. even if there are negatives.

We're worse than last season. Where is this progress?

We were a solid top 6/7 team under Moyes. We now struggle to get into the top ten.

As I said in the match thread, I'm now a fully paid-up member of the 'Martinez Out' brigade.

He either has an inability to address our defensive shortcomings (incompetent), or an unwillingness to address them (dereliction of duty). I appreciate his desire to play expansive, attacking football - but he's had more than enough time and resource to demonstrate that he can combine that with a measly defence, which he hasn't done.

I like the guy, I like the way he conducts himself and how he talks about the club. I think he is a good public face for the club, and doesn't embarrass us in front of the media. He isn't beyond redemption - if he got our defence back to basics, dropped players that don't perform, and built from there - I would be very happy for him to remain as our manager. But I don't see that happening at all. His track record includes relegation and the continued pattern from last season shows unprofessional defending, very poor game management and worst of all, a soft centre. I don't think he is up to the job and I fear that he will continue to take us further down the league until we're in a very real relegation battle.

You know the girl you went out with after you split up with the long term ex, totally different to the ex and exotic. The honeymoon period was great and she showed you many new things . You start having nagging doubts though when you argue over the same things...its getting that way for me with Martinez.

Pains me to say it, maybe the possible takeover is unsettling everyone at the club. Kenwrights focus at the moment is the impending sale of the club. He is hardly going to sack Martinez and appoint a new manager with the club on the brink of being sold. For all we know the new owners might want to bring in their own man anyway regardless of whether Martinez is here or not. The players performance today suggested they've lost faith in martinez's methods or some have had their heads turned by their agents. All in all very worrying.

I really do worry about where we're going. Come next season we'll have none of our best players still at the club, and our hideous wastes of space will still be here stinking the place out every week. Today was a throwback to last season, very concerning

I think some of you need to just calm down and maybe take 24 hours before you assess it. Maybe write an angry letter to Points of View about something utterly pointless if you need to let off a bit of steam.

Martinez over 3 years has been a poor manager here. If he was our chief scout then the man would be brilliant at his job but as a manager he has been poor.

The squad he's put together is his only defence. Absolutely pointless assembling these players if you can't use them though.
