Ok so over a period of time including out of match day time such as training sessions, and the fact that the manager picks the team and is responsible for recruitment- at what point is the manager absolved of responsibility? e.g. said player has a stinker, said player is benched; a very normal process in the pro game.
Are you saying this is the first instance of players under achieving this season?

I'll say it again.
6 wins in 23 -6???

No.

So getting a draw at Chelsea is down to Martinez, but losing at home to Swansea is down to the players?
Like Martinez, you seem to invent reasons for everything, rather than trying to solve problems.

Last week was a generic term. 'Martinez is not getting the best out of this squad'. And the names bandied around are Stones Lukaku, Barkley and Deulofeu. Today Lukau and Stones were poor and off the pace and Barkley was ok the first half and not really the second and Deulofeu was the reverse. Did Martinez under achieve with them today?

The worst thing for me is we are Going into the league cup semi second leg against city with a lead and I honestly couldn't care less. He's ruined it for me

If we win the league cup it's a plaster on a poor season and the spoofer will keep his job and we will lose our top players.

No ambitious player cares about the league cup. It's not even the top cup competition in England.

Bobby should go. He promised top 4 and he is further from delivering than ever. If we arent utterly disappointed by not even challenging for top 4 then we are going nowhere and maybe Rafael was right and we are a small club

Yes, absolutely.

I have no idea what your point is!

So Martinez was to blame for Stones and Lukaku having poor games. Lukaku got muscled out of 2 crosses that Deulofeu laid on for him. That was Martinez;s fault then? Same with Stones - he had a stinker. I blame Martinez for starting him today.

Yes. His job is to pick the team, motivate them and put together a plan to win a football match. He didn't seem to have bothered much with motivation or tactics today.
He will no doubt take the credit for getting to Wembley, if we can get past Man City. He is to blame when we don't get results. It's called being a manager.

You do realise that 'we have dropped 107 points from the last 183 available' and 'we have won 1 in 10, 6 in 23 and 18 in 61' is also a pith - an essence of something. Surely, you do. You can't be that ....

Oh dear. A LikeMonkey. I'll finish were I started we have concede 12 goals in 11 away games.[/QUOTE]

The league's top scorer needs a rest - a fact that escapes his manager.
In fact look at the 4 teams below us, the rest after that don't count as they haven't been in the league both seasons.

How can anyone defend that?
Martinez certainly could not set up a team to defend it

You really do talk nonsense. We are 12th in the league. The league table does not lie.

We have an incompetent manger, but you seem determined to dredge up any oddball statistic in a desperate attempt to defend him. Will you still do this if we get relegated?

Oddball static? Nothing oddball about conceding 12 goals in 11 away games. You do realise that all those in the media, when they are talking about Everton's defence, go nowhere near trying to explain why we have only conceded 12 away from home so far this season. Have you ever thought why? It doesn't neatly fit in with 'Martinez can't set up teams to defend'.

A draw at City sees us in the final. More likely a score draw, which also sees us in the final.

Lukaku didn't get on the end of Duelofeu's crosses. He wasn't brave or strong enough today. Martinez is being castigated for 'under achieving' with this group of players. The names mentioned are Lukaku, Stones, Deulofeu and Barkley. Lukaku and Stones were poor today - not the mangers fault.Barkley was ok the first half nowhere to be seen for most of the second half. Deulofeu was nowhere the first but livened up the second and put in 3 good crosses.

So what you are saying is, that Martinez is to blame for the bad performances of those that he is under achieving with?

Again, you just try to confuse. You're either arguing that the players aren't good enough (Martinez brought them in) or that they are good enough (and Martinez is the reason they are not performing). But instead you seem to be saying that Martinez is great for bringing a top class squad together, but is blameless for their underperformance because they're not very good. Ridiculous.
