Roberto Martinez discussion

This all day long. Maybe it's different on the pitch to watching on the box but you can just see when they are getting themselves into a mess and its a matter of time before they lose the ball or concede a goal.....

When that's happening, for the love of God HOOF!!!
The daft thing with this is...we'll do ANYTHING but hoof it, at first. So a scenario like this plays out:

Stones under pressure with the ball, has the space to hoof it, instead turns to goal, see's noone open, tries taking it past the striker, finds jags, jags under pressure dribbles into danger with it, we're being closed down now, under pressure, finds stones again...stones hoofs it up field.

We could hoof it when we're in danger, instead we play around with it for a good minute or two almost getting caught...then the final solution...hoof it!?

It's that precisley, it's askin for trouble, and to what end? Is drawing the players pressing making gaps in midfield so when the ball is huffed theres more space and so more options - that automatically assumes it goes from defence to somewhere in midfield, which isn't classic hoof, and theres no chance a few pressing forwards are being joined by whichever CB's we're facing. The strange thing is with Fellaini pulling the ball down easily, he was an option to hit - for Howard too. Its strange, we got great money for him, and hes been under utilised by van Gaal.

Martinez has no plan B. Sometimes though plan A is so good you dont need a plan B.
At the moment we are hit and miss, Martinez doesnt panic because there is a long term aim, he understands there will be hiccups along the way.
The idea is to play football like Barca from the under Xyz teams through to the first team. Only problem is we dont have iniesta, messi or xavi to pull it off. We can only judge martinez after about 4 years to then compare the then and now. It is natural that we all hit the panic button during a sticky patch, we are afraid of going back to the dark days, after all it is our club, nobody understands our way of life but eachother. Martinez is trying to understand how much we crave stability and a trophy in the process, i am keeping the faith here lads. I hope we can all do the same.

Also bear in mind there is now no Mirallas, Barkley, Coleman, Pienaar, Oviedo adn errrr Kone.

Bobby won,t be given 4 years to be judged, it season to season at best now in the EPL.

Think Roberto and us have been incredibly unlucky this Season so far. Whilst his decision making hasn't been as good as it was last year, he/we have been unlucky. No team in the League can cope with losing Ross Barkley and Steven Pienaar at the same time, add to the numerous times Coleman has been missing and now Mirallas. Plus, he's not to know that experienced defenders are going to turn absolutely awful overnight and cost us numerous points.
He will sort it out eventually im 100% certain of that.

I really don't know what Martinez can do at times, things like Gibson passing it to them numerous times in dangerous areas, Distin's header in the cup, the assists from our defenders. Besic backheel etc

It's things he just cannot foresee or change. We've had some really horrid luck already this season.

I don't think he's helping himself with how late he attempts to change a game though, or sticking with certain players/tactics that just won't work.

Whatever happened to his boss substitutions? Theyre almost non-existent anymore.

I know we always had Mirallas/Delefeou/Barley/Oveido rotating around ready to come off and switch us into an extra gear but injuries are what they are. You can plan a picnic but you can't predict the weather, miss Jackson.
