Roberto Martinez discussion

I don't the rest of that detracts from how ludicrous his first sentence is. So 12th is not underachieving because we haven't won the title. He's given himself carte blanche. As long as he doesn't win the title he will never underachieve.

I just love how he hides behind the 'young squad' talk... despite having only the 8th youngest team in the league.

Even more damning, the team that plays a style of football that our team are a poor imitation of is the youngest - Spurs.

I don't think he is directly talking about 12th. The comment was in response to Stones, Barkley and Romelu underachieving.

And really he should have stopped speaking after "As manager I accept we need to get wins and I won’t ever be a manager coming out with excuses and trying to justify not winning"

I'm not a Martinez cheer-leader (far from it!)...but in fairness to him , the bent officialdom has burgled our team of points (and any possible momentum) this season. In recognising this incontrovertible, it's time we Evertonians all pulled together (and please, no cheap innuendo shots). Divide and conquer is the game being played against us...

....no mate, lack of nous, acumen, tactical awareness, the willingness to adapt & the distinct lack of a Plan B have been the burglars.

The officials are a mere distraction to a much bigger picture.

Those quotes from today are appalling. This idea it's a young squad that's improving and developing for the future is nonsense. The bulk of the starting 11 have been playing together for almost 3 seasons now and a club like ours which gets regular approaches from bigger clubs for the top talent doesn't have time to sit in mid table waiting for things to click. Key players will be gone in the summer and although they will have improved under us, we won't have doing enough with them.

It's not his poor management decisions that makes me think we should get rid of Roberto. It's the image he portrays of this club. The man spouts utter rubbish in every press conference and interview. Brendan Rodgers was Aristotle compared to this lunatic.

This week he has said.... Garth Barry has been an all time England great, and John Stones will be the greatest ever English defender...

The man claimed in 2008 Titus Bramble should be in the England squad....

Bluffer pure and simple

Barry is a very very good player. As anyone who has managed or played with/against him will testify. Stones has the potential to be one of the very best.

Bramble is love, Bramble is life.

The main point being, as much as it's sometimes ludicrous, I don't think there's anything wrong with the principle of bigging up your players - it's better than slating them.
