Aye probably. I think he'd do well with this team and the new tv money but it isn't really a realistic proposition, especially seeing as we have a manager who will be here for the forseeable future, at least til seasons end or till we go under new owners and they decide they want a new man in.
He makes a decent point, could be pointed out though, that with the quality of players and squad we have, we are underachieving.

I want him to succeed but I think even if he improves performances in the next couple of months and we stop shipping goals an unlucky result here or there or failing to win an easy game is going to bring that pressure back immediately.

...he's not under pressure mate because he's not expected to achieve anything. Sadly the board are happy for us to simply 'float', the criteria being a simple 'avoid the drop, finish as high as you can = £££££££'. The ambition boat has long since sailed I'm afraid.
