Roberto Martinez discussion

I don't think we deserved anything out of the game today, do wish Bobby would stop saying things like that.

Phenomenal for us overall though.

beating the team currently 2nd in the Bundesliga 6-1 on aggregate?

He keeps showing in Europe that he is an exceptional manager.

That doesn't tell the whole story, though.

Anyone who was at the home match knows it was the most lop sided 4-1 win we will ever see.

And we should have been a goal down before we scored the other night.....their first disallowed effort was onside.

Which is not to decry the overall results against Wolfsburg.....just saying that nothing in those two games marked Bobby out as "an exceptional manager in Europe".

At first the team looked a belter but we need to sack off this not playing with wingers. We were in effective down the right because Eto'o and Barkley both wanted to be down the middle so were neglecting the right.

It's incredibly frustrating because I see what Martinez wants to do in these big games, the team just isn't quite there yet.

For all the possession we have away from home it is extremely easy for the opposition to defend against us, especially the better sides.

We'd actually done the hard part today and got in front. Don't think anyone would've complained if we'd 'dug in' and got through to half time in the lead. The whole game looked so easy for Spurs at times yet so difficult for us.

I'd be grateful for just one truly good performance this season before 2014 is out.
presumably you mean PL performance...in the EL we have had 3 very good ones. But I grant you, in the PL, we have been not so good. I suspect that PL managers have sussed our style out and know that there are a lot of mistakes in Everton if you press hard

I won't ramble on too much as I'm very tired and very drunk. Watched the first half in the fly in the loaf and second in TriBeCa, excellent pizza.

Truth is, we were the better side and with better finishing we would have won that game. The first goal was fully disgusting and the second was due to a lapse of concentration from GABA, who wasn't fully fit, neither were Baines, Coleman.

I felt a little bit down watching the tripe produced by the blues today, but on reflection, it was still enough to beat a shoddy Spurs side, there's a bit a bad luck in there, these things swing either way during the corse of the season.

We will win the Europa. I've just fingered an 8 in Heebies and pied her to neck a 9 in graffiti (which is badly [Poor language removed]) [Poor language removed] the rocky

lack of gamma amino butyric acid? FFS Roberto, can we sort out our players neurotransmitter levels!!

I don't think Martinez is doing a lot wrong to be honest. Injuries are stretching the squad and it shows the most when we've got games close together. We weren't even that bad yesterday overall. Individual errors cost us again but we still would have got a point if that penalty was given.
