I think time to build (that is mainly down to funds available in comparison with other teams) is the essence of success or failure. IMO he hasn't barely had enough time yet we have a very good team and squad that is just struggling to find that balance that comes with time. Martinez is looking for a formula for success and not just PL stagnation. He wants to challenge and not just exist in the top half of the table and to me that is the big difference but it is also harder to achieve and needs a different style to what preceded him.
 
Can we dispel the myth that he came up with idea of dropping Howard and playing Robles please?
Howard got injured.
Shall we give him the minor credit for not dropping a keeper that's playing well for a keeper that's been below average for about 18 months?
Sure, why not.

Oh and before the tin foil hats get donned and someone claims Howard wasn't injured, a fake injury would have benched Howard in case of a red or injury to Joel and we had Stanek on the bench against Newcastle and Stoke.

Still not sure how far Martinez will take us, great result away to Bournemouth in the cup, still not in favour of cleverly out wide, although its no personal attack on Tom himself. Chances are we will lose Mirallas in the summer then Tom gets injured and we then have only a 60 minute man in Delboy & Lennon who plays on the right wing. I think a win at Villa is a must for Martinez, he needs to win games against the likes of Villa to gain some momentum and supporters leaning back towards the Martinez IN camp.

Great footy I will give you but I would say it's 50/50 maybe less on the players. Off the top of my head

Lukaku - He wanted Demba Ba but got offered Lukaku instead. Stroke of luck there.
Kone - Lost for words.
Alcaraz - See Kone
McCarthy - Thought he was going to a world beater but seems a bit hot and cold now.
Funes Mori - Admit he's started good so will reserve judgement.
Besic - Best by far.

I could go on with Barry, Del, Joel etc but these have just been ok up to now.

Barry has just been ok?!?!

One of our best signings in the last decade, possibly two decades. Brilliant player. Very close second to Lukaku.

If you are going to criticise Martinez signings - not a line of attack I would take - start with Cleverley, that's where the real action is.

They are doing ok as that is what we are doing as a team at the moment, just ok. I did say 50/50 though not all.

Barry? Proven international and just come from the PL winners. That's a great eye for a player is it not. Lukaku he wasn't even after but ended up with him. Bang for buck Besic is by far his best signing

I love Besic, with everything I have, but Lukaku is his best signing, yes we paid big, but the fellas just an utter goal scoring machine.

I did the hit and miss last week.

Hes signed 22 players, he had 10 HITS, 6 MISSES and 6 players we are unable to judge yet.
