Okay mate fair enough.
Personally, I feel United would be mad to promote Giggs and it wouldn't see them progress at all. Mourinho guarantees a big name for them to compete with Pep.
I just feel that the time is, if RM does leave, the summer to do so as there will be plenty of very decent managers who would come at that point.
My choices - if he did go:
- Quique Sanchez Flores - doing very well with Watford and knows how to drill a defence. Does like his teams to play football and wouldn't negate any of our attacking qualities.
- De Boer - the time's right for him to come to the Prem
- Pellegrini - ambitious but more realistic than Mourinho. Unsure whether he would be the right man to take us forward with this team however.
All that being said, RM showed yesterday how good a manager he can be. He also, ultimately and unfortunately, showed us how bad he can be as well.
That's why for me he still gets until the end of the season barring the next two games don't go totally to pot. if they do, then we may well have to look at a change in the international break but I still remain unsure as to who we could get that would guarantee improvement at this stage.
As much as it can be the manager's fault, there is also a fundamental fault with many of these players that can't be addressed by anybody except themselves.
Speaking of which, the time has to come where our experienced players such as Baines, Jags, Barry and Osman etc step up and talk to Martinez. Something needs to be done and they I think can be the only ones to drill into him and his staff what is needed for them to improve defensively.
But he didn't play on the left, and he didn't show a good work rate. So I'm not sure what your previous understanding of his role has to do with anything.I thought Niasse could play from the left aswell and has good workrate. If he'd brought on Barry for Lennon n we'd lost that would of been the worlds worst sub n too negative i bet aswell.. Lennon was basically a second striker anyway he was everywere.
People crying saying worst sub ever are acting like he took of a centre back n out Del there

It was disgraceful management and you know itI thought Niasse could play from the left aswell and has good workrate. If he'd brought on Barry for Lennon n we'd lost that would of been the worlds worst sub n too negative i bet aswell.. Lennon was basically a second striker anyway he was everywere.

What got me was that nobody seemed to replace Lennon. Niasse seemed to go upfront and there was just a huge gap on the wing where Lennon was playing.
His decision making just gets worse and worse every week. It really is a shame because the attacking part of his game plan is superb, but you need a solid foundation and it just isn't something he is prepared to address.
His type of football would only be successful at clubs like Barça, Real, Bayern, etc. They have that much quality that defense doesn't come into it. Unfortunately the Premier League, especially this season is a monster and on their day any team can beat anyone.
