Roberto Martinez discussion

Worst home record in top 6 leagues in Europe, let in 3 or more at home 8 times this season, 7 hones deafeats, last time we did that we escaped the drop last day of the season.

Moshiri is an accountant, he'll be bang into his statics, if he looks at Martinez record and stats the last two season it's an horrendous record, most other teams would have sacked him a while ago.

I so wanted him to come though, but it's the length of time we've been poor, 2 seasons now, and the squad is the best we've had in 30 years.

Pulis said it the other week when he parked his bus, it's a top 4 squad, all day long.

Jesus, That's an awful stat

How he's managed to get this far into his third season is madness

Past performance is not a guaranteed indicator of future performance and if you've ever met a Liverpool fan you know the value of statistics in football (close to nil).

And for what it is worth, the key word was "Long-term".

How often has someone like Ranieri walked into a job at a team like Leicester and got them competing for the league title. It doesn't happen often, so much so that Leicester's success at the moment is widely regarded as the outlier. If you want to get into statistics there are plenty out there that indicate switching managers midseason tends to have a negative effect on the team's performance.

Things are going to be changing at Everton behind the scenes quite drastically. I would put money down that Roberto would be given at least a year under the new regime to prove he is up to meeting the challenges that will come attached with our increased financial profile. Anyone thinking Moshiri is going to walk in and hand him a pink slip is not being realistic. For starters Kenwright is still on the board and Martinez and him clearly have a good working relationship.

That depends on what you mean by Long-term, he has had almost three seasons and he has not delivered

You would never change a manager if things are going well and not even after a blip however it would be equally naïve not to change a manager when things are getting worse season after season. It does not matter who we buy in the summer or whether the players have plush fancy bedrooms at Finch Farm if your team cannot defend then you will get punished in the premier league.

For this stat along he wants his arse well and truly booting right out of Goodison Park, poor manager with no plan B whatsoever.

Some of those comments from Wigan fans from 3 years ago are terrifying.
I've read them all before and others at the end of last season, it was uncanny the way they predicted the future under him, and we are on the way to repeating last season this season as well.

Well, after reflection, sifting of evidence, and calming down, (not going to base a decision on one daft sub), let him see out this season, might get a trip to Wembley, maybe 2.

But then, over to the Boss. He wants him gone, then fine. Thanks for the fun Bobby, and wish you well, but Everton is not your plaything.

Or Boss gives him a serious, 10 game target next season. No excuses. (multiple serious injuries excepted) Miss it, you are toast, make it, and you have learnt, which is the key thing about him now for me.

He is clearly a talented manager, but with a serious, recurring flaw. Get that fixed, and maybe his first season will return.

I think that is fair, and balanced, and importantly, realistic.

The look on Oviedo's face when Lennon gets subbed, priceless, looking right at the dugout.

If we go out on Saturday then it should be the end for him.

What I don't want is for us to go out on Saturday and then win a few meaningless games and on the back of that he gets to go into next season as manager.

Lose Saturday, get rid.
