Roberto Martinez discussion

Sorry that I don't own a private jet to fly over from California to go the game.
Not criticising you for where you live and recognise that you cannot just "fly over" any more than bluestevon can from Russia, or any other of our great fan base for what ever reason, but I'm sure that if you sat by me in the ground you would understand a little better....we cant just turn our emotions on and off like a tap and what we are seeing at present is just not acceptable - we have as a fan base seen little since the eighties to inspire us (1995 perhaps excepted) and have continued to support the team year after year without too much protest. I hate supporters booing the side obviously but thats sometimes the only way they can express their displeasure apart from not turning up.. i was brought up with NSNO but that is rapidly crumbling in favour of be happy we're entertaining - but losing.

Football club - all day every day

Failing manager who doesn't take responsibility for his bungling - nah you are alright thanks.

First sign of trouble? Are you the Demolition Man recently released from cryostasis or something? We've been absolute mince for 18 months
Your missing the point - if we go a goal down are you then demanding the managers head or supporting our team to try and win the game? There is a minority on here who perhaps want to see a defeat in order to spend their Sat night typing furiously on here. This game is bigger than the manager - it's our football club 1 game from Wembley.

It's interesting that some fans are now complaining that Everton can't keep a two goal lead.

Last season, I remember, when we were 3-1 up against QPR, there were boos when Jagielka passed the ball back to Howard.
Not been able to hold on to a 2 goal lead is not interesting its weak

I want us to win the cup and I want Bobby sacked. The 2 are separate entities.
If we win the cup then records will say Everton won it, not Bobby.
League form has to be taken into account when determining his future. This has been terrible for a while now.

That is a pathetic statement, you will blame the losses on Martinez but dnt give him credit when he wins.

I don't disagree there are serious questions to be answered but Saturday is about supporting our club not a witch hunt for the manager.

Very true we will be right behind the team FROM THE OFF.. I think we can win it as well Besic must play, give Baines his LB spot but I digress...end of the season can't come soon enough ..soz bad fan me

Since you remember the game so clearly you will remember the reason they booed. We had a direct free kick and instead of doing the obvious thing and having a shot on goal we passed the ball all the way back to Howard. It was as negative a piece of play as you will ever see. The home support has indeed been very quiet for a while now. Funny enough it's decline coincides with the arrival of Martinez.
