Roberto Martinez discussion

It's a proven fact that teams always struggle with EL/PL schedules.

There's a reason for it and lack of preparation is that reason.

We have a tea lady, a kit man, a boot polisher, an arse wiper and prolly a personal teeth brusher, all the useless clown had to do was pick ACTUAL footballers, in ACTUAL football formations, in ACTUAL footballing positions, its hardly rocket science, its not like hes splitting atoms or doing brain surgery, hes winning football matches, easy when you have a vast footballing database, me, difficult when all you do is relegate MASSIVE Northern footballing gods.

Well obviously people weren't going to start singing Martinez out songs at the game! A poll of hundreds is going to be relatively reliable. However I will concede, this place is without doubt not short of weapons that imo don't well represent the opinions of the match-going support, so each poll has to be taken with a vat of salt. It sadly wasn't just an isolated few, however.

It has happened many clubs when the writing is on the wall for the manager. That it did not happen at all for him this season would suggest that his job was never in any serious danger. A few people reacting on the internet to a bad result is not representative of current opinion really.

What "many" clubs have done that right after a great year when they achieved a record points total? Pretty sure even Newcastle didn't go after Pardew for a few years. Sure, he was never getting sacked, but that's because we have a Chairman who gives managers time. In fairness, it was much more than a few people and although people are prone to meltdowns on here, they made a decision. At that moment, they clearly wanted him sacked. You can't really argue with the polls.

Afraid you can when the same people had changed their minds after they had cooled off. The number of people that wanted him sacked was small in reality. Don't make the mistake as mentioned earlier of adding on the large numbers of supporters who were highly critical but did not want the plug pulled.

Again, they'd made a decision and voted. At that time they wanted him out. Because they changed their minds later on when circumstances changed is irrelevant. If you're highly critical but don't want the plug pulled you don't vote Martinez out.

Again, a few hundred people on the internet does not represent the Everton support.
