Roberto Martinez discussion

They did that when they gave him an ovation at the end of the season, he then went on to insult our club with ridiculous bids for Baines and Fellaini. He has had all the respect he will ever get.

He is nothing to do with Everton anymore, we were just the plucky little club who he made a name with in his eyes, the arrogant self serving rat is getting everything he deserves.

Bang On. Moyes was given a tremendous ovation on that last GP outing (v West Ham). But his actions subsequent to leaving have evaporated that ggodwill. His knowing about the Man U job and not revealing it whilst managing Everton is also a BIG black mark.

I won't boo Moyes, but I certainly don't wish him luck.

He's pretty much done every thing right so far has Bobby.

But my biggest fear with him is that is won't be able to have to same success in the the transfer market that Moyes had.

Its one thing getting the current squad to do well, but when he has to rebuild it with bugger all net spend and maintain/improve league position thats the hard part. I know he done ok in the previous window but Barry, Lukaku and a Barca starlet on loan were pretty straight forward choices, and going back to his old club was hit and miss.

Now it looks like things are moving with Jelavic on his way we need 1, if not 2 strikers in, as well as a midfielder that we will probably buy outright.

Just hope my fears are unfounded and he spends wisely, brings in the right players of quality and we make top 4 and win something.

He permanently signed James McCarthy and he's been wonderful.

It was 1 of my fears, but he sure stuck 2 fingers up to that in the Summer.

We cant really judge Kone, as much as I love to, who knows how he would have turned out, the rest of the deals he did were superb, but I guess we find out in a year so.

He said he wants to come out the window stronger everytime, I think we defo did that in the Summer, lets see what this window brings.

Yeah he has, but he ain't gonna get £13 million to spend on one player very often. Plus it's ont of the easiest transfers he's ever gonna make here really.

With our situation he's gonna have to buy very good players without a whole lot of money to do so, and there have been a hell of a lot of managers in similar positions who have failed to do so.

Moyes didn't fail in that sense, it was his strongpoint. I hope Martinez can be better or as good as Moyes in that sense as he is in seemingly everything else, its just that right now its my biggest worry about Martinez that he cannot buy as well, for as cheap as Moyes did.

He's just a thin Spanish waiter.

During Moyes 11 years he bought as many duffers as anyone else plus his better buys were of that mass pool of top 8 workers and no more, Martinez has raised the bar with Lukaku and Deleufeu, even Mcarthy and Barry as engine room players are a class above what Moyes brought.

His interview embraces the loan system as a tool to be used with our youth development it is a complete sea change to the unpalatable truth Moyes never got to grips with ie you cannot develop a team over 3 years and have it last intact for a decade.

Martinez has this nailed expect more wheeling and dealing with the sole purpose of being successful there will be good and bad but at least with Roberto he's decisive I couldn't see him having a 9million Bily parked on the bench transfer window after transfer window.
