It's the entitlement of the younger whoppers which has me aghast. "But we were boss in the eighties..." yes we were.

It's not the eighties any more.

And we don't have a load of money. And if you want any sort of success then you have to hope for one of three things
  1. We get bought out by someone who wants to splurge serious wedge on the team and club and gets quoted a fair price for the club.
  2. We spawn a season out of the blue and it leads to a sustainable platform to maintain that success.
  3. We organically grow a competitive squad and club through clever recruitment and patience.
Unfortunately it's XFactor I WANT SATISFACTION NOW types which will stop number 3 from happening, which is the only likely option for success right now.

We're not going to be successful any time soon so you have three more options:
  1. Jib the whole right into Everton thing off.
  2. Accept it as how it is and try to enjoy it.
  3. Throw your weight into a fans anarchic change movement.
