Roberto Martinez discussion

Haha, was gonna post this.

Martinez doesn't even get a notable mention at the bottom whilst Redknapp, Allardyce and Pulis do.

Can't argue with cold hard facts.

Oh there were words as well, missed them.

In other news, the sky is blue…

Sky have conducted this long-winded and convoluted study to rank the best managers of the Premier League era, which seems a bit pointless really considering how blindingly obvious it is that Fergie was the greatest.

Ferguson won 13 Premier League titles, which makes him unequivocally the best, and no study is required to prove that.

Arsene Wenger naturally comes in second place considering his second-best trophy haul and longevity, with Jose Mourinho coming in a close third.

As the chart shows, Mourinho has won as many titles as Wenger (3), but has only managed a fraction of Wenger’s 714 games, which have also featured 19 top 4 finishes.

It’s arguably lower down the table where the study becomes of real interest, notably 15th and 16th place, where just one point separates Brendan Rodgers and David Moyes.

Rodgers was lauded as one of the league’s great managers after taking Liverpool to second place in 2013-14, while Moyes was derided for finishing 7th with United, yet statistically, they’re at the same level; so much for the conventional narrative.
