Our record away vs the top 5 teams is actually worse this season that last, like.

We are happy Dave, nobodys saying get this Catalan Clown out, we can see the progress, the syle of play, the will to win every game, we see all this, but also see, for the another Season on the run, a Manager who sat on his hands and threw away a chance to take the Club to another level.

I think its a reaction to conceding an injury time goal to Chelsea mate, I get the angst but I don't get lids overlooking that as you say were playing ace stuff and should only get better next season.
Rather than going to the top teams in the land and playing for a draw. We'll do well for the rest of the season.
This summer is when we'll be able to answer that question once and for all (with NO room for argument if we don't spend). It's the one summer when there can be absolutely no excuse (no matter how hard you're willing to look for one) for not investing in the playing staff, due to a combination of the new TV deal and the players we've sold.
It's POSSIBLE that Martinez truly did want to keep his powder dry til the summer in terms of spending - but we won't know til we see what level our spending is at over the break.

Its a reaction to a shocking internal decision to not give the squad the best chance it could not move forward this season rather than next, when nobody knows whats gonna happen next season.
Lukaku back as a starter, Traore and even Naismith on the bench to come on if need be. We're ahead of where we were this time last season and in better shape upfront after today's game; we're playing great football and still in the cup.
I dont get some of the reaction here. I really dont. I think most will be happy enough with what Martinez has has done in his first season. Imagine a Moyes side going there today and dominating? Not a chance. But that's where we are with Martinez. I expect to dominate these top sides now, home or away. He's revolutionised the way this team thinks about matches.
There's a Board thread if you want to open this up in there like?
Is right Statto, I prefer to watch footie with my eyes and I see an Everton team not only having a go but out playing these same teams on their home soil. Apart from the [Poor language removed] like. But hey.
Yeah, I agree. We look far more confident. It just amuses me, tbh.
Mind I thought we were pretty good away vs Spurs and Arse last year.
You don't know what's going to happen in the next 12 league games and cup, so calm down dear.
There's always new seasons too? Imagine if we kept on improving under this new manager.
We wont have a big net spend. In fact, I'd say we may have no net spend at all once the window shuts in the summer. They'll claw back any spending by sales. The club is geared to player sales as part of its model of operating now. That isn't going to change. It wont matter how much extra revenue comes in via the tv deal. ...and it'll be accepted again with a few grumbles, despite all the 'it's their last chance' talk right now.
