We have lost 4 of our best players, Coleman, Barks, Mirallas and Kone to injury.

Its naive to jump all over Martinez just yet, hes got till Xmas to get us in the top half, if he doesnt he should be sacked.

By the likes of you he was barely allowed his first game in fairness.

I´d give him 4 seasons to be judged, barring an absolute disaster, and I think Kenwright will too.

Managers should be given time, especially when they have earned the right to that time.

I know we always had Mirallas/Delefeou/Barley/Oveido rotating around ready to come off and switch us into an extra gear but injuries are what they are. You can plan a picnic but you can't predict the weather, miss Jackson.

I have no exact stats but i believe martinez waits longer now than he did last season to make a substitution, krasnodar was a example were he made a half time sub, but then didnt really change much after it, i think that is the man's point to your response, some people on here cant wait to abuse others for differeing opinions, keep the abuse to yourself mate.

Yeah. Seriously. All week there were cries to play a more closed game instead of the naive open one from last season. Now people wish we were more open. What a headache.

I was desperate for us to play a tighter game on Saturday. RM thought he could play everyone of the park last year and it worked to certain extent but we need to play different way's sometimes.

In the run up to the Liverpool game the consensus was we were going to get battered. This week could have turned out to be a complete nightmare 3 very tough away games, but if we get something at OT on Saturday with the injuries and travelling I will grab that and push on.

One thing I find funny, and it maybe from not one single poster on here but I have seen and heard ton's of people saying 'Rodgers has been found out' and 'Suarez made Rodgers last year' and of course from the RS fans 'Rodgersout' yet Martinez to those same fans can still do no wrong.

I have never been his biggest fan and my biggest worry is, he has never put together a decent defence and keeper set-up and now he is required to re-organise what he has got (and he was blessed with a great defence that was well drilled) now we have had a year with him we have one of the worst defence if not the worst statistically in the top 5 major european leagues.

We shall see how it goes but should we lose on sunday which I would consider to be likely, it will be our worst start for almost a decade with what most fans were saying that this is our best squad in the premier league era.

He organised a terrible pre-season when last year it was in place for him, a lot of people told me during those pre-season games that it didnt matter, well it did and now we are stuggling for it, 6 points from 7 league games will be a disgraceful start (should it happen).

That from what I saw is not true, it was definately the concensous after we got tonked by Chelsea and the next day the battered spurs but since then the 2 clubs form has got closer to each other and our fans confidence grew
