"He [Martinez] was also strongly linked with Liverpool last summer."

i don't think rodgers is that mouthy tbh. he's just a bit stupid, even when he's pissed off he doesn't say it angrily, he's still pretty calm about it. I'd like a manager who tells it how it is though when we keep getting ****ty goals given against us like the derby. Not this moyes crap of nothing we can do. it's not a coincidence that fergie was the loudest and most fearful and yet united got favourable decisions during his tenure

I've been having the same feeling for a while. He just kind of looks 'Everton' to me.

I thought that as well, heard loads of different stories, one was the director of football jibe, the other was he was just a pawn to get Rodgers.

Yeeah I didn't mind Brenda at first, but he slowly morphed into a tw@t.

Cannot be having a manager that's gonna be making us cringe every time he's got a mic in front of him.
 

Yeah but Brendan has to make sense to all the deluded ones that follow LFC - so he has to speak "their language". It kept Dogsh1te in the job, the lack of it lost Hodgson his - simples - if you run with dogs you have to talk like one... They love all that 3 envelope sh1te and so on. We on the other hand just want a manager to do the right things - to fine players who break the rules and not to rehabilate serial cheats.

I dont want a grade A [Poor language removed] but I want someone who pressures the ref/speaks out against the media/RS someone like Fergie's attitude

I think Martinez is on record for making quite a few complaints about refs and the like. Always felt Wigan were hard done to.

I think this does get recognised, and it's not a weakness. All the other behaviour typifies everything that's wrong with football these days. The fact we don't get embroiled in most of the bullsh*t is one of the main things that make me proud to be an Evertonian. When we win the league next, we'll win it the right way.

to win the league in modern day football you need to do a chelski/citeh ala ruthless spending and a manager that pressures refs to get the key decisions to be top dog, something we would never do
