We borrowed £30m from Vibrac the past couple of years to pay the banks and sign new players, extra wages etc. Its a no brainer where this extra income will go. We where relying on Fellaini + Heitinga leaving to improve the squad, now thats not happening

This loan business has done the rounds every pre season for last 5 or 6 years,many predicting bankruptcy in it's wake.
From what an accountant friend tells me, this is normal practice at many clubs, it is a bridging loan to get the clubs through the post season period when they're not earning money,but still have wages to pay.
A large slice of it is paid off using the tv money, the rest monthly throughout the season.
