Wouldnt worry bout Martinez signings anyway. Fellaini is staying so there goes our transfer budget. And before anyone mentions the new tv money, weve already spent that by paying Vibrac back.

I still feel Fellaini will exit sometime in the summer if Everton receive a silly bid it would be madness not to facilitate that to some degree

We borrowed £30m from Vibrac the past couple of years to pay the banks and sign new players, extra wages etc. Its a no brainer where this extra income will go. We where relying on Fellaini + Heitinga leaving to improve the squad, now thats not happening

We don't owe Vibrac £30m so you're talking out of your pipe mate.

The additional TV revenue is unaccounted for currently i.e. it's incremental.

Should he be appointed, Martinez may also look to bolster his squad with a clutch of Wigan players, including out-of-contract Antolin Alcaraz and striker Arouna Kone, who has a £6.5m release clause.

Midfielder James McCarthy and wingers Shaun Maloney and Callum McManaman, the latter released by Everton as a youngster, would also be on his wishlist, although their fees could prove prohibitive.

PLEASE NO

Apart from the fact that you have just made all that up, it would mean that we would be more than able to get another loan.

Everton FC proving that we are able to pay back yet another loan without a single default. The banks must love us.

Isn't Vibrac connected to our directors anyway? It's the directors primary way of making money out of Everton, so they're not going to stop now, if anything the borrowing/lending will increase!

You mean some of our directors are actually lending money to Everton...just like Lerner did at Villa? Wow...I thought Evverton directors never contributed to the well being of the club at all.
Well..I'm off out now...have a nice day everyone...I've a busy morning, then lunch in Waterloo....

That deal finished this year mate.

We will have more money for the 2013/2014 as the deal with vibrac has ended as well as the additional TV money

What has Duffy done to suggest he's ready to be a first team starter in the PL now at his age?

If moyes was so blinkered and was ignoring a ready made quality CB, why have a weak Central defensive Ireland squad not dragged him in.

I hate these posts, as I seem like I'm ****ging Duffy which I'm not...I think he's got promise, but he needs a good year on loan somewhere in the championship. If he were to start every game next season for us, you would see some weakness's in him and would cost us goals....again not having a go its just inexperience....

He really needs to get out on loan for a year.

Moyes has always been cautious mate. It wasn't that long ago that Baines was getting talked about going to Sunderland for 2 million and couldn't get a sniff of our first team. He only got in because Lescott forced through his own move. If Moyes has had his way Baines still probably would of been picking splinters out of his arse.

The same with Coleman, he should of been given an opportunity at right back ages ago especially against the lesser teams at home, likes of Fulham, Wigan etc. He's only in now because of injuries.

How lucky have we been in both cases that they were given chances?

What has Duffy done to warrant a start? Duffy is the elite defender for his generation. I've seen loads of him amongst his own age group and he is really top class but all this sitting on the sidelines will kill him, he'll stagnate and regress. He's already had international sides fighting over him but how can they pick someone who only plays reserve team football? No matter how talented he is. Once he's in our first team he'll be right in the Ireland team make no mistake about that as was Coleman. This time last year Raheem Sterling couldn't get in the England under 18 team. A couple of average first team performances for the sh*te and he was in the England first team.

I remember watching Duffy at Blackburn in the FAYC 4 or 5 years ago when there was an article in the program by Phil Jones who was playing centre half in the same age group. Jones was talking about how good Duffy is and how he was hoping to emulate him and get to his level. The Blackburn coach also wrote about the strength of our side, how Duffy was the main man at that level and how Blackburn had tried so hard to get him.

It's a myth how Moyes was rated for giving the kids a chance. What did Duffy do wrong in the exceptional performances he's put in when he played? Why have we not seen him since despite the defence, Heitinga in particular being very average early last season?

I honestly don't think many posters on here realise how good our kids are. They were the champions of this country 2 years ago. They are the in the top 3 or 4 in this country now and there are some exceptional talents there, I am sure Martinez will give them games. We have 3 or 4 at least ready to walk into our first team squad now hence, given our current financial position, why I don't believe we need anything more than another top drawer striker to have a very good season next year. I don't want the kids to stagnate or be ruined as players like Rodwell was. Rodwell was asked to play wide right or sit deep in a defensive midfield role passing side to side for us when it took the likes of Capello one training session to realise he was an attacking midfielder who should be allowed to play centrally, drive in to space and commit players. This is the same Rodwell who wasn't first choice for little ol' Everton but walked straight into Man City's premier league winning team when he signed.

Duffy's been on loan and done well years ago. He's played in the first team and done well. He's now ready to establish himself, he was a year or 2 ago.
